My experiences with Johnston County School's was not bad. I got a good education for elementary. When starting middle school and high school is where things started to change. The only worst experiences I have ever had were student problems, nothing the school was at fault for. My best experiences were mostly from high school. The food served is fine and the academic knowledge is great, only real problem is how students act with the teachers and some teachers themselves, otherwise its amazing so far.

I believe Johnston county schools favor “smart” kids. I believe they expect us to automatically know how to apply for scholarships, how to apply to colleges, what classes we need the most, etc. I’m lucky I had an older sister who went through this and could teach me how to take CCP classes. They’re very focused on the little things and not the main importance of school, they more try and make sure we can’t leave then make it to where we don’t want to leave. Most teachers there are amazing and you can tell try their hardest though.

My school is an average school but is very passionate about agriculture and construction. They strive to show other options to students besides college by giving skills and information on blue collar jobs and other certifications and paths they can take.
