    ParentVUE is a secure web-based information management system that provides parents/guardians the ability to view their child's assignments, grades, attendance and contact information. The student version of the program is called StudentVUE. Families can also complete enrollment forms and personal information verification online through ParentVUE.

    Both ParentVUE and StudentVUE can be accessed from any internet-connected device with a current web browser. Apps for both iOS and Android smartphones are available.

    Families can now complete enrollment forms and annual data verification online through ParentVUE at the beginning of the school year or anytime throughout the year. Click on the questions below to learn more and for instructions on how to create an account and/or complete enrollment forms.

    Mobile App

    ParentVUE has an app so families can view information on ParentVUE from their mobile device. Download the instructions to learn how to sign into the app.Roanoke City Public Schools does not provide support for personal devices. The use of ParentVUE is at your own discretion and risk.

    App Update

    As of June 2023, ParentVUE has a new link, so parents/guardians who have the ParentVue link bookmarked on their computer, tablet, or phone will need to bookmark the new link.

    In addition, parents/guardians will need to re-add RCPS to their ParentVUE app. To add RCPS:

    1. Go to Settings
    2. Click "Add another district URL"
    3. Add the RCPS zip code: 24012
    4. Select Roanoke City Public Schools
    5. Click "Done."

  • ParentVue allows families to:

    • View student schedules
    • View grades and information about your student's classwork
    • View your student's attendance
    • Change personal information, such as your phone number
    • Complete enrollment forms for new students
    • Verify and update personal information for existing students
    • NEW: Access Virginia Assessment Program test results, including Standards of Learning (SOL), Virginia Alternate Assessment Program (VAAP), and local performance assessments.
    1. You must first obtain an activation code from your student’s school by calling the school or visiting the school's main office.
    2. Once you have the activation code, visit the ParentVue website.
    3. Click "I am a parent." You will be taken to the ParentVue login screen.
    4. Click "I have an activation key and need to create my account" on the right.
    5. Accept the privacy agreement.
    6. Follow the on-screen instructions to create your account using your activation key.
    7. Open the email sent by the system and click on the link to complete the account create process.
    8. Enter User ID (your primary email address.) Enter a password and confirm. Click "Save and Continue."

    Once you are logged in, all information for your student will be visible by selecting the options on the left of the screen.

    1. Visit the ParentVue website.
    2. On the online registration account access screen, click Create a New Account.
    3. Read the privacy statement and clickI Accept.
    4. Enter your first and last name, an email address, and the verification code.
    5. Open the email sent by the system and click on the link to complete the account creation process.
    6. By default, your User ID is your email address. Enter a password of at least six characters and confirm it. Then click Save and Continue.
    7. Log in. Click Begin New Registration.
    8. Follow the self-guided process.
    9. Be sure to review all information before clicking Submit.

    Please have the following documents and information available during enrollment:

    • Student's Birth Certificate (or Affidavit)
    • Emergency contact phone number(s)
    • Previous school year information

    The following forms will need to be provided or completed in-person to complete the enrollment process:

    • RCPS Student Health Form
    • Student Code of Conduct Booklet
    • Proof of Residency
    • Birth Certificate
    • Social Security Card
    • Documentation of Custody
  • Parents may annually verify student data for students currently enrolled and add new students.

    If you have an existing, active account:

    1. Log into ParentVUE
    2. On the Home page, click Online Registration is Currently Open: Begin Registrationor clickNew Student Enrollment & Verificationin the upper right-hand corner.
    3. ClickBegin Registration.
    4. Follow the self-guided process.
    5. Be sure to review all changes before clickingSubmit.

      If you have not created a ParentVue account:

      1. Contact your child’s school to obtain anActivation Key.
      2. Once you have your key, visit the ParentVue website.
      3. At the ParentVUE Account Access screen, clickActivate Account
      4. Read the Privacy Statement and clickI Accept.
      5. Follow on-screen instructions
      6. Open the email sent by the system and click on the link to complete the account create process.
      7. Enter User ID (your primary email address). Enter a password and confirm. ClickSave and Continue.
      8. Log in
      9. On the Home page, click on the linkOnline Registration is Currently Open: Begin Registrationor clickNew Student Enrollment & Verificationin the upper right-hand corner.
      10. ClickBegin Registration.
      11. On the Welcome page, follow the self-guided process.
      12. Be sure to review all changes before clickingSubmit.
        1. Log into ParentVue
        2. After logging in, parents/guardians will see all students enrolled in the upper left-hand corner. If there is more than one child, select the dropdown button to select a student.
        3. On the menu, select Documents. Student Detail by Question Reports will display by test administration.

        If you need assistance understanding your child’s score report, please contact your student’s school.

      • ParentVue has a new link, so parents/guardians who have the ParentVue link bookmarked on their computer, tablet, or phone will need to bookmark the new link.
