77 Categorized Tiny House Interiors That’ll Satisfy Every Tiny House Lover (2024)

What matters most in a tiny house? Well, it’s important what the outside looks like, but it’s the form and function of the interior that is going to have the biggest impact on how you live.

So, I decided to put together a list of the coolest tiny house interiors to inspire you.

77 Categorized Tiny House Interiors That’ll Satisfy Every Tiny House Lover (1)But before we jump into the list, let’s talk about what makes a tiny house interior “cool” to begin with!

Article Quick Links:

What Makes for a Cool Tiny House Interior?

“Cool” is a pretty subjective word! So, for the purposes of this article, I figured I should narrow it down a bit and explain to you what criteria I had in mind when I curated this list.

1. Spacious

First of all, cool tiny house interiors often are the ones that embody the concept that “less is more.” In other words, by simplifying our lives and shrinking our footprints, we can end up with more space and less clutter—or at least the convincing appearance of it.

So, I have made sure to include plenty of tiny house interiors in this list which is luxuriously spacious.

2. Flexible

Another cool feature in tiny house interiors is a flexible, versatile design. For example, this might involve the use of configurable furnishings.

So, I have also tried to include houses in this list that have flexible interior features.

3. Uniquely personalized

Since tiny houses are often custom-built, they have a tendency to reflect the personalities of their owners. But this is certainly the case more with some houses than others.

In this list, I have included a number of homes that are truly unique in their internal styling and which fully express the tastes of their owners.

4. Functional

I am a big believer in Frank Lloyd Wright’s statement that “form and function are one.”

So, to me, the coolest tiny house interiors are those which encompass both parts of that statement in as unified way as possible. I have thus included homes in this list that facilitate functional living.

5. Stylish

This is the most subjective criteria to me in determining what makes for a “cool” interior.

So, what I consider stylish may or may not be what you consider stylish. Nevertheless, I have done my best to feature interiors which I personally feel are aesthetically pleasing.

6. Imaginative

Finally, I have decided to include one last criteria for what makes for a “cool” tiny house.

Some tiny houses look especially futuristic, or they put us in mind of a fairytale, or they in some other way capture our imaginations, taking us to a different place or time.

77 Coolest Tiny House interiors

Now that we have discussed what makes for a cool tiny house interior, let’s jump into the list.

In order to organize the list in a useful way, I have decided to break it down by the categories which I listed above as my criteria.

Of course, there will be plenty of overlap between them. But let’s get started with tiny house interiors which are cool because they are so roomy.

Spacious

1. The Best Modern Tiny Home

When it comes to spacious modern interiors, it is hard to beat Park Model Homes. I think you will be blown away by this 2020 layout.

77 Categorized Tiny House Interiors That’ll Satisfy Every Tiny House Lover (2)

It is pretty hard to believe that this house measures only 399 square feet!

And even with that vast living room and kitchen, the builder has found space for a huge bathroom, a loft, and a downstairs bedroom!

It is worth checking out how roomy the entire home is, so take a look at the source link for more photos.

2. The First Legal Tiny House in the Netherlands

Dutch design is so cool. Tiny houses built in the Netherlands tend to be minimalist, functional, sleek, and spacious. One such example is this one, which actually was the country’s first legal tiny house.

77 Categorized Tiny House Interiors That’ll Satisfy Every Tiny House Lover (3)

The house features a distinctive profile.

The unusual angle of the roof really opens up the interior. And in quite a literal fashion, so does the door, more of a huge opening in the wall.

Even without this feature, this home feels plenty roomy with all of that wide open floor space. But connected to the outdoors like that, there is no way that anyone could ever feel cramped in this home.

3. The Whidbey

The Whidbey is a 400-square-foot tiny house designed by West Coast Tiny Homes. But with its spacious interior layout, it feels like it must be a whole lot larger than that.

77 Categorized Tiny House Interiors That’ll Satisfy Every Tiny House Lover (4)

It seriously is hard to believe that we are not looking inside a full-size home.

Check out the upstairs, which features two spacious bedrooms.

You will definitely want to pop by the source link, as there are plenty more photos that show off how roomy the interior of the house is. Incidentally, it also features a huge porch for additional living space outdoors.

4. Minimalist House in Spain

This house was designed by Churtichaga+Quadra-Salcedo Arquitectos.

77 Categorized Tiny House Interiors That’ll Satisfy Every Tiny House Lover (5)

As you can see, an entire section of the house in the center can be opened up wide to the outdoors, uniting the interior and exterior in an innovative and versatile fashion.

Spending time in this wide central room, you would truly feel as if the outdoors itself was part of your interior.

It is a very unique and innovative house, so be sure to drop by the original post to check out more photos.

5. Camano Island Tiny House

Another example of a tiny house that derives its spaciousness in part from its openness to the surrounding environment is this one located on Camano Island.

77 Categorized Tiny House Interiors That’ll Satisfy Every Tiny House Lover (6)

Huge glass doors span most of one wall of the house. This makes it possible to literally open up most of that wall wide to the outdoors. Since there is a huge deck, this also creates an open expanse of floor space. Indoors and outdoors are united into a seamless whole.

The house features a downstairs bedroom too. Here is what it is like inside with the wall wide open to the outdoors. For those who love fresh air and beautiful views, this would be an unbeatable interior to enjoy.

You can see more photos of this spacious, airy tiny house at the source link.

6. Kauai Tiny House

The tiny house you see in these photos was designed by Jay Nelson.

77 Categorized Tiny House Interiors That’ll Satisfy Every Tiny House Lover (7)

Round windows show up in a lot of his home designs.

The far wall is wide open, and there is a huge window over the kitchen sink and stove. Both bring in an incredible amount of light, and make the home feel like it is connected to the outdoors. Also, notice how the hardwood planks are oriented in such a way that their lines direct the eye from one end of the tiny house to the other. By doing so, they enhance the sense of space and openness.

7. Crows’ Hermitage

Our next tiny house with a cool, roomy interior is Crows’ Hermitage, a tiny accommodation located in a small village close to Dublin.

77 Categorized Tiny House Interiors That’ll Satisfy Every Tiny House Lover (8)

The structure used to be a barn, but it was refurbished in 2008.

This view from the mezzanine/loft shows you just how open and airy it is inside this tiny house. The huge windows spanning the front of the house as well as the skylights bringing in light from above further add to the sense of space.

The stone walls also add a fascinating texture. Located just outside, there are some historical ruins. So, by maintaining the texture of the stone walls inside, this interior carries the ambiance of its historical surroundings indoors.

There are many more beautiful shots of the downstairs part of the accommodation. So, check the source link to see more and to find out how you can book a reservation if you will be traveling in Ireland.

8. Wales Barn

If you enjoyed the photos of the accommodation in Ireland above, you will also like this very similar tiny accommodation in Wales.

77 Categorized Tiny House Interiors That’ll Satisfy Every Tiny House Lover (9)

This structure is also a converted barn.

The huge folding doors at the front of the tiny accommodation can be opened wide so that you can fully enjoy the views and fresh air. Doing so also enhances the spaciousness of the already-roomy interior.

Flexible

Now that we have checked out some tiny house interiors which are cool because they are so spacious, let’s check out some which are cool because they are flexible or versatile in one way or another.

9. Eric Shell (The Art of The Craft) Tiny House With Configurable Furnishings

I absolutely love tiny houses that incorporate custom furnishings that are configurable. They make it possible to get more than one use out of a single limited section of space. This house by Eric Shell (The Art of the Craft) includes a number of these types of configurable features.

77 Categorized Tiny House Interiors That’ll Satisfy Every Tiny House Lover (10)

I’m in love with how pragmatic this feature is. Instead of having a separate table and chairs, this tiny house has a table that can be flipped down from the wall in front of the couch. When the meal is done, it can be flipped back up out of the way. You can see the slot it fits into in the wall adjacent to it. Also, the benches have footrests which can be pulled out from underneath. These include storage spaces inside.

Also cool are the steps which lead between the bedroom and the bathroom. Beneath them is a hidden storage area. There is also storage under the bed.

You definitely are going to want to see more photos of all these awesome configurable features to fully appreciate how flexible this interior is. Visit the source link for more!

10. Louise

Louise by Pin-Up Houses is a tiny house plan you can purchase for under $50.

77 Categorized Tiny House Interiors That’ll Satisfy Every Tiny House Lover (11)

While this is a concept image and not a shot of a finished version of this house, I want to draw your eye to the image above where it says “schematic plans.” There, you can see these cool configurable little benches, each of which contains storage space. As the concept image demonstrates, you can push them around, creating impromptu couches or even sleeping spaces. With the cushions removed, you also could stack them.

Pin-Up Houses typically feature huge glass windows and spacious, versatile interiors which are easy to customize to your needs. Visit the source link to view a collection of 25 floor plans. These plans are budget-friendly too!

11. Edge Design Amazing Configurable Tiny House

Edge Design refers to this tiny house simply as “Private Residence” on their site, and doesn’t offer much in the way of information. But it features a lot of configurable features and impressive hidden storage.

77 Categorized Tiny House Interiors That’ll Satisfy Every Tiny House Lover (12)

The dining table which you see in this photo can be collapsed entirely into a slot in the wall. Doing so opens up the floor, and also simplifies and streamlines the appearance of the room.

Here you see an impressive number of shelves and drawers. But what is fascinating is when all of the drawers are closed as well as the cabinets, these storage spaces blend right into the walls and seemed to disappear.

This is one of the most impressive tiny house interiors you will see when it comes to flexibility and elegant, streamlined design. So, visit the original post to see all the photos.

12. The Katz Box

The Katz Box (this particular one being the “Calico Home”) is a shipping container product which its builder promotes as “Modular, Modifiable and Transportable.”

77 Categorized Tiny House Interiors That’ll Satisfy Every Tiny House Lover (13)

This tiny house includes a configurable bed that can be collapsed into the wall when it is not in use, leaving the main living space wide open. Here is what it looks like when the bed is in its upright position. It is easy to walk from one end of the house to the other.

13. XS – SML 22 Square Meters

XS – SML 22 Square Meters is a tiny apartment designed by Nicholas Gurney.

77 Categorized Tiny House Interiors That’ll Satisfy Every Tiny House Lover (14)

The streamlined minimalism of this apartment is aesthetically appealing. But it also has a number of intelligent functional features in its design.

The most prominent of those features is the floor, which features a “two-step” layout where one section is located a step up from the rest. Doing so creates a crawl space with 11 m² of extra storage space. The entire bed can be stowed away under the floor when it is not in use. There appears to be plenty of additional storage space under there as well. And as you can see, it is a large enough space that an entire person can crawl underneath.

There are storage seats similar to those featured in the Pin-Up Houses design. They can be moved around as desired and configured to serve different purposes.

Every photo of the interior is worth checking out. So, visit the original post for more.

14. Tiny House with Flip-Around TV

When I found this tiny house, it was posted for sale in Oklahoma. It measures 240 square feet, and has some really cool features inside.

77 Categorized Tiny House Interiors That’ll Satisfy Every Tiny House Lover (15)

The feature I like the most is the flip-around TV. I have seen these in a few tiny houses lately. In this shot, you can see the TV in the upper right-hand corner. It can be positioned to face the main living area or the bedroom.

When you are in the bedroom and you flip the TV to face you, it is level with the bed, placing it at ergonomic viewing height. It looks like such a cozy spot to sit and enjoy your favorite shows!

15. sCarabane Futuristic Tiny House

When it comes to versatile features, most tiny houses either feature layouts that are easy to adapt to your needs or furnishings you can easily reconfigure if desired. But the sCarabane futuristic tiny house has an unusual feature like no other for improving interior comfort.

77 Categorized Tiny House Interiors That’ll Satisfy Every Tiny House Lover (16)

This house looks pretty different inside and out. It doesn’t just appear futuristic either—it actually is. It collects solar and wind power, and is 100% self-sufficient. But what is really unique is that it has the ability to rotate on a track.

How is that an awesome interior feature? Because it means you can change the views in your windows to look out at vistas like this:

Also, you can turn the house so that whatever room you are in, you won’t have to put up with harsh sunlight glaring in at you.

Trust me, as a person with migraines, I can tell you that is a major quality of life upgrade.

You’ll want to find out more about this super cool house and all it has to offer, so visit the source link for all the details.

Uniquely Personalized

Let’s move on to our next category for cool tiny house interiors and check out tiny houses that have been customized to perfectly match the personalities of their owners.

16. Ernie’s Tiny House In A Van

Supertramped Conversions handled this epic transformation of a T2 Mercedes 609d for customers who “wanted a beach hut, surf shack, shabby chic tiny home.”

77 Categorized Tiny House Interiors That’ll Satisfy Every Tiny House Lover (17)

Every inch of the interior of the van has been altered in some way with amazing materials and textures incorporated throughout. The attention to detail is incredible.

What is especially mind-blowing about this interior is that it contains a shower. This is amazing, considering that this is a regular-sized van, but even with the inclusion of the luxurious shower, the rest of the van still feels surprisingly roomy.

Interesting to note is that the “tiles” lining the shower walls are actually panels of wallboard, but they are pretty convincing.

I highly encourage you to check out all of the photos of this unique van conversion. It truly is a work of art both functionally and aesthetically.

17. The Judy Blue Eyes

SimBLISSity designed this customized home for a “delightful, colorful, young woman on her way to California to become a film maker” who wanted a home to “warm her soul and future.”

77 Categorized Tiny House Interiors That’ll Satisfy Every Tiny House Lover (18)

Both inside and out, the home has been personalized to match its eclectic owner’s personality and needs. The bedroom loft is particularly impressive with plenty of clearance above the bed, big windows, and a large round mirror that enhances the sense of space.

There is also a cool custom cat bridge which connects the upper lofts!

Visit the source link for more photos of this home. The exterior is also really cool.

18. Millersburg, Ohio Custom Tiny House

This tiny house was custom-built over a six-year period by a couple in Millersburg, OH, who referred to themselves as “old idealistic dreamers, fresh out of youth.”

77 Categorized Tiny House Interiors That’ll Satisfy Every Tiny House Lover (19)

Every inch of the interior is delightfully colorful and unique. I love the retro decorative accents in the kitchen and the bold primary colors.

Of special note is the amazing bathroom with its dark blue wainscoting and its colorful, huge tile shower. The chandelier above is lime green to complement the tiles which accent the shower stall. Both the eclectic, fun color scheme and the sheer spaciousness of the bathroom make it one of the most amazing tiny house bathrooms I have ever seen.

I would have loved to share additional photos with you about this tiny house in this article. So, I suggest that you drop by the original post to check out the rest.

19. Kim Lewis Tiny House in Austin, TX

This tiny house is one of the most well-known tiny houses on the internet, at least with regards to how many times it has been shared around.

77 Categorized Tiny House Interiors That’ll Satisfy Every Tiny House Lover (20)

The house, commissioned by Aaron and Meredith of Austin, Texas, was designed by Kim Lewis to meet their specifications. Measuring 400 ft.², it is best known for its colorful front steps.

The interior is equally stunning. A mixture of black and white walls creates an eye-catching contrast, and helps the colorful decor in the house to stand out.

20. Streetcar Tiny House

Gerhard and Mary Ringel of Santa Cruz, California, wanted a unique tiny house that would reflect their personalities. Their house measure 750 ft.², and is made out of two antique streetcars.

77 Categorized Tiny House Interiors That’ll Satisfy Every Tiny House Lover (21)

As you can see, the outside of the home is exquisitely bright and colorful. California might be drenched in sunlight, but the sun seems to pale next to this adorable yellow home with its blue and purple trim.

The distinctive streetcar shape creates a beautiful interior that is just gushing with retro style. In particular, the ceiling with its wraparound skylight feature (now stained glass) is a stunning decorative accent built right into the house. The bright colors which the couple selected for the walls and the furnishings adds even more flair and fun.

This is one of the coolest tiny house interiors I have seen to date. So, make sure that you stop by the original post to check out the rest of this tiny streetcar house.

21. Vera

If you enjoyed the previous tiny van conversion which I shared with you from Supertramped, you are going to love this one as well, named “Vera.”

77 Categorized Tiny House Interiors That’ll Satisfy Every Tiny House Lover (22)

The exterior of this tiny house is probably its most spectacular feature. The entire vehicle on every side is covered with a gorgeous mural portraying a forest setting. But the interior is amazing as well.

Once again, every single inch of this tiny van has been completely transformed with stunning textures and colors, giving every surface a rustic finish. The sign on the wall reads, “Not all who wander are lost.” This van seems like it makes that case nicely—nobody who lives in a home like this is lost as far as priorities go. What an incredible place to live!

22. Tiny House Nation Surfer Tiny House

A couple wanting to live in a tiny house had a bit of a storage challenge to deal with. They had a total of ten surfboards that they were going to need to find space for. Tiny house builder Tiny House Nation found a way to make it happen.

77 Categorized Tiny House Interiors That’ll Satisfy Every Tiny House Lover (23)

A huge glass wall makes for an airy and delightful interior.

The back wall is made out of reclaimed wood. The bedroom loft is also incredible, so make sure you check it out at the source link.

23. The Bird’s Nest

I don’t know the story behind the Bird’s Nest, but I do know that it was another design by Kim Lewis.

77 Categorized Tiny House Interiors That’ll Satisfy Every Tiny House Lover (24)

The exterior is one of the most unique I have seen among tiny houses. With its pale teal color, natural wood trim, eclectic collection of windows, and its salvaged wood pieces lining the bottom, it stands out.

The interior is not as distinctive as the exterior, but still catches attention with its brick walls in the kitchen and pleasing rustic fives.

24. Hobbit House

There are a few tiny houses around the world which have been designed to resemble hobbit houses, but this one did a particularly good job capturing the aesthetic.

77 Categorized Tiny House Interiors That’ll Satisfy Every Tiny House Lover (25)

The outside of the home is already very convincingly Shire-like. But the interior arguably is even better.

Just look at that cozy couch wrapping around the organic curve of the walls! It looks like such a wonderful spot to relax or entertain. All the textures and decorative embellishments in the home further add to the Shire vibe.

You are definitely going to want to look at all the photos of this amazing hobbit house. So, pop by the original post to check them out.

25. LotR Van Conversion

Speaking of The Lord of the Rings, perhaps one of the most inspiring tiny house interiors I have seen from a customization standpoint is this van conversion by artist Glen Michael Herbert.

77 Categorized Tiny House Interiors That’ll Satisfy Every Tiny House Lover (26)

Herbert personalized every inch of every surface both outside and inside his van to capture the wonder of J.R.R. Tolkien’s fantasy universe.

Herbert’s quality of craftsmanship combined with his imagination and zeal for the series make for one of the most beautiful tiny house interiors I’ve ever seen. You can check out more details of the conversion at the source link.

26. Miniature Ski Lodge

It is worth sharing a few tiny backyard sheds in this category (also known as “she sheds”) since they are usually owner-constructed and therefore feature interiors which are perfectly suited to their owners’ personalities.

As one example, here is a tiny shed designed to look like a ski lodge cocoa bar.

28. 1950s Diner

One of the most memorable and distinctive tiny backyard shed interiors you will ever see is this one which was designed to mimic the appearance of an old-fashioned diner.

77 Categorized Tiny House Interiors That’ll Satisfy Every Tiny House Lover (29)

Ann Bates, the shed’s owner, designed it as a tribute in honor of her late parents. The jukebox you see in the corner isn’t just decorative—it actually works. It’d be hard to find a more inspiring custom tiny interior. I am sure every time she hangs out in here, she feels close to her late folks.

29. Stained Glass Sanctuary

The lucky lady you see in these photos received this incredible backyard tiny shed as a gift from her husband, who did all the work on it.

Functional

Now that we have explored tiny house interiors that are cool because of the way they reflect their owners’ personalities, let’s take a look at some tiny houses which are so cool because of how functional their interiors are.

30. Tippy Stockton’s Studio

77 Categorized Tiny House Interiors That’ll Satisfy Every Tiny House Lover (31)

In the functional department, we have another tiny backyard shed, this one belonging to jeweler Tippy Stockton.

Since this tiny structure was designed around Tippy’s specific needs, every inch of space has been utilized to the utmost functional degree, providing a workspace and storage for all of her tools. At the same time, its bright, cheerful colors and ample lighting make it both a practical and inspirational place to work.

31. METRO Tiny House

Imagine living comfortably in only 160 square feet. Smart, functional design makes that possible, as displayed by the METRO tiny house.

77 Categorized Tiny House Interiors That’ll Satisfy Every Tiny House Lover (32)

The curve of the roof is stylish and also helps precipitation to slide off.

Packed inside this 160-square-foot interior are a kitchen, small dining table, seating area, bathroom and sleeping loft. A microwave, cooktop and mini fridge give you everything you need in the kitchen.

It really is amazing what you can do with such a small square footage. Be sure to drop by the source post to see more photos of this genuinely tiny house.

32. Swing-Up Ladder

This tiny house is a 2018 design by Haw Tiny Homes.

77 Categorized Tiny House Interiors That’ll Satisfy Every Tiny House Lover (33)

Inside the house is a simple but clever feature to maximize interior space and minimize obstructions.

What do you do with a ladder up to a tiny house loft when you don’t need to use it? In a lot of tiny houses, that is pretty much up to you. The ladder is usually not fixed to a particular surface. You have to figure out where to store it if you want to get it out of the way. But that is not the case with this house.

In this tiny home, you can swing the ladder up to the ceiling to get it out of the way when it is not in use, and swing it back down when you need to climb up or down.

It looks like it would be easy to operate the ladder from above or below.

Why isn’t this particular feature everywhere? I have no idea. Check out more photos of this clever, functional tiny house at the original post.

33. Hidden Staircase

Another tiny house which features a clever solution for getting to and from the loft is “The Movie Star” by Incredible Tiny Homes.

77 Categorized Tiny House Interiors That’ll Satisfy Every Tiny House Lover (34)

In this photo, you are actually looking directly at the steps, but you probably don’t see them. If you direct your eye to the angled slots running up along the storage cabinets on the right, you are looking right at them. You’ll see how this works in the next photo …

Using the slots candles, you can pull these steps out of the wall and climb them to the loft!

It is an amazing space-saving feature which helps to keep the interior of this home open and streamlined. Be sure and check out the rest of the house at the original post.

34. The Expedition

When I spotted this tiny house originally, it was for sale in Tipp City, OH.

77 Categorized Tiny House Interiors That’ll Satisfy Every Tiny House Lover (35)

The fascinating and clever feature inside this tiny house is the custom furnishing which you see on the right-hand side of this photo.

The furnishing takes the form of a set of cabinets and shelves, some open, some closed. Taken together, these cabinets and shelves not only offer storage space, but create a couple of little alcoves underneath, each of which is its own functional space.

35. aVOID

Here is an amazing tiny house that I lost track of in our archives for a while, but finally rediscovered.

77 Categorized Tiny House Interiors That’ll Satisfy Every Tiny House Lover (36)

The house measures less than 100 square feet. Its interior redefines “minimalism.” As you can see, it is pretty much just a small white space. But you can see that there are a lot of outlines in the walls, showing you where different reconfigurable furnishings are located.

This solitary little room is an all-purpose one that can be transformed to fit different functions just by pulling what you need out of the walls. So, it can be a bedroom, a dining room, or pretty much anything else you need.

You’ll see few more startling and efficient designs when it comes to tiny house interiors, and the exterior is stylish as well. So, make sure you stop by the source link so that you can see more of this unique tiny house in action.

36. Shipping Container Home Built for $15,000

You really don’t need a lot in the way of financial resources to build your own tiny house if you are clever about it. Here is a tiny house which was constructed for around $15,000.

77 Categorized Tiny House Interiors That’ll Satisfy Every Tiny House Lover (37)

One nice outgrowth of building a tiny house on a tight budget is that it pretty much forces clever design since both resources and space are limited. So, you can get a really cool, practical interior like this one.

Even though it is tiny, this shipping container house is able to comfortably sleep a family of four, fitting in two bunk beds and a queen-size bed which can be collapsed into a sofa. There is no loft, but there is a kitchen. There even is a composting toilet.

This is quite an inspirational project, so be sure to learn how it was made and find out more about its cool features of the original post.

37. University of Southern California Homeless Shelters

While this article is about cool tiny house interiors, sometimes we run across a project which acts as a reminder that interior and exterior design cannot really be separated. This is especially true when you have a tiny house which can actually reconfigure its entire shape. That is the case with this project from students at the University of Southern California.

77 Categorized Tiny House Interiors That’ll Satisfy Every Tiny House Lover (38)

As you can see, this tiny house has an intriguing accordion section which can be pulled down when the house is parked. When the house is on the move (it is on wheels), the accordion section can be collapsed against the side so that it is a simple cube shape. This nearly doubles the floor space.

The same students also designed this larger (but still very tiny) shelter which has room for a bed and a desk and some storage shelves.

You can see more photos of these and other projects by the students at the source link.

38. Freestanding Shower Unit

Karin Matz Arkitekt was hired to convert the ground floor of a 19th century stable into a studio apartment, and came up with one very innovative feature for saving space: a freestanding bathroom.

77 Categorized Tiny House Interiors That’ll Satisfy Every Tiny House Lover (39)

By occupying the middle of the room, the shower actually is able to take up less square footage than it would if it was its own room in the apartment.

If you walk around back of the freestanding shower, you will find the sink, a mirror, and some storage space for towels.

It is a super cool tiny apartment interior, so check out the rest of it in the original post!

39. Tiny Stockholm Apartment

Another cool interior that I am just in love with is this one, which was a furniture storage unit before it was converted into a work of functional, liveable art by Karin Matz Arkitekt.

77 Categorized Tiny House Interiors That’ll Satisfy Every Tiny House Lover (40)

This interior is both stylish and functional, with some cool space-saving solutions.

From this angle, you can easily appreciate what is clever about this tiny apartment. The space has been divided in a way that you can clearly grasp the function of each area of the whole. We are in the living room, looking at the kitchen on the right and the bedroom on the left.

By placing the bed on a little loft which is about halfway between the floor and the ceiling, it has been possible to place a closet underneath. By climbing to the top of the ladder, you can either go up to the bed or down into the closet. There’s additional closets space on the left as well.

It is great to see a functional solution for a large wardrobe in a tiny apartment, as many tiny houses offer only the most minimal storage space for clothing.

As the entire interior is both clever and stylish, you will want to check out the photos of the rest.

Starting with the exterior, we have a house which is on movable sleds. The reason it was constructed that way is because it is located in an area which is subject to erosion. The siding can be unfolded to open up views through windows all around the house, or folded back down when privacy or protection from the elements is necessary.

The interior is breathtaking, made of beautiful wood. It features a simple, wide open design which takes maximum advantage of the amazing views through the front (which can be opened wide, as you see here). On the ground floor are a kitchen and living room, and upstairs is a loft.

Instead of regular walls, there are cubbies from floor to ceiling along both sides. This is a simple and extremely effective way to provide a considerable amount of space for storage or decor without making a tiny house look cluttered in the slightest. Be sure and check out more photos at the source.

41. The Sturgis

How do you live comfortably in 170 square feet? The Sturgis by Cubist Engineering is an elegant modern tiny house which has incorporated some clever space-saving solutions.

77 Categorized Tiny House Interiors That’ll Satisfy Every Tiny House Lover (42)

The beautiful interior is flooded with light. One of the unique features of the interior is the small alcove which you see in the back of the home. The architect named this alcove an “obsession space.” With its garapa floor and a remote-controlled gullwing door, you can configure it to your needs. It can serve just about any purpose you can imagine, however general or specific.

The builder was able to find room for these types of special features with a clever installation of the bed, which is hidden in the ceiling. In the video above, you can watch as the bed is lowered from the ceiling into place.

Be sure and check out the original post to learn more about this innovative tiny house.

42. XS – SML 24 Square Meters

Nicholas Gurnee, architect of the XS – SML 24 Square Meters tiny apartment says, “I prefer to design small, modest spaces.”

77 Categorized Tiny House Interiors That’ll Satisfy Every Tiny House Lover (43)

In designing this clean, functional, minimalist interior, he followed the 5S principles of design: Sort, Straighten Shine, Standardize and Sustain.

In order to make sure that everything would have a right place in which to belong in the tiny apartment, he took a complete inventory of his clients’ possessions before he started designing their space.

The genius of this interior is that it provides more than enough room for quite a lot of stuff, but it conceals all of that stuff entirely. The white storage cabinets blend in perfectly with the matching white walls, giving the entire interior a streamlined look and feel.

You will definitely want to find out more about what went into this clever tiny apartment design, so check out the original post.

43. Russian River Studio

This small house features a stylish interior which, like the one above, does a nice job maintaining a clean, basic look and concealing most of the items which could cause it to appear cluttered.

77 Categorized Tiny House Interiors That’ll Satisfy Every Tiny House Lover (44)

Here is an image which shows some decor in place as well as some work-related items. You can see that there are multiple home office workspaces here. One is through a door on the left, while the other is across from us in a little nook. But wait till you see how this space can transform.

Amazing, right? Just by closing the door on the left and closing the yellow panel over the workspace which is across from us, both are completely concealed from view, leaving a tidy, minimalist appearance and plenty of wide-open space (the table has also been put away).

There are two other things which I also really like about this interior. The first is the way the different workspaces are, in a way, color coded. The green and the yellow help to establish them each as their own “zones.”

The second thing I like is that the partition across the yellow workspace also would feasibly help to split off that workspace from the rest of the interior for tax purposes. This would make it easier to claim the home office deduction. So, that is yet more added functionality.

44. 123 Square Foot Tiny House

This tiny house was on sale for less than $18,000 in Knoxville, Tennessee, when I discovered it. 123 square feet is astonishingly small. But you will see that the interior design is practical and functional, allowing for comfortable living.

77 Categorized Tiny House Interiors That’ll Satisfy Every Tiny House Lover (45)

In this photo, you can see the living room, kitchen, bathroom and bedroom all within the same frame.

This is possible because the bed is located on a small loft directly above the kitchen, which also houses the shower behind a curtain.

This is quite a clever and logical design, because it eliminates the need for two sinks, and because both the kitchen and bathroom are environments which are both subjected to significant moisture. So, it is a two birds with one stone solution.

You are probably wondering where the toilet is. It is located adjacent to the shower.

45. The Escher

The Escher is a tiny house by New Frontier Tiny Homes. You may be familiar with it, or with the company’s Alpha Tiny Home. Both of them are pretty well-known.

77 Categorized Tiny House Interiors That’ll Satisfy Every Tiny House Lover (46)

The house has huge glass windows on either side, as well as in the bedroom, flooding the interior with sunlight and views.

There are quite a few clever storage solutions which make the interior functional and comfortable.

Perhaps one of the most visually impressive is all of the storage space which is located underneath the bed. If you wanted, you could store an entire wardrobe under there, as suggested by the photo.

This tiny house interior boasts other cool features as well. So, make sure that you check them out in detail at the original post.

46. 140 Square Foot London Tiny House

This tiny house in London features an unusual shape and a clever, functional layout.

77 Categorized Tiny House Interiors That’ll Satisfy Every Tiny House Lover (47)

Built into this wall are a number of storage spaces as well as a comfortable seat and a desk that can be pulled out when it is needed or pushed back out of the way when it is not.

In this diagram, you can see the unique layout of the house and how it preserves a huge amount of open space in the center.

You can visit the source link to find out more and fewer additional photos.

47. Plugin Tiny House

This tiny house was custom-built to fit into a tiny space available in the Beijing suburbs.

77 Categorized Tiny House Interiors That’ll Satisfy Every Tiny House Lover (48)

The unusual shape of the house was determined in part by the needs of the owner’s neighbors.

Despite the cramped location of the house, the interior is full of natural light from above. To make this possible, a design incorporating skylights and reflectors was used.

A lot of careful planning and creative concepts went into this tiny house layout. You can find out more about the unique design choices which went into it at the source link.

48. The Nest Phoenix

The Nest Phoenix is a tiny accommodation which you can stay in if you are visiting the Colorado Historic District in Phoenix.

77 Categorized Tiny House Interiors That’ll Satisfy Every Tiny House Lover (49)

The house is only 24 feet long, but features a simple layout which maximizes open space and views through the huge glass windows on the front of the home.

In these shots, you can appreciate how easy it actually is to design a layout which features a lot of open space, even in tiny square footage. It is often as simple as shoving everything up against one wall, and not making any one feature (i.e. the kitchen) larger than it needs to be.

If you want to stay in this tiny house and find out for yourself how comfortable it can be to live small, visit the original post to learn how to book your reservation.

49. Porta Palace

Here is a similar tiny house design by Dutch architects Woonpioniers (“Living Pioneers”).

77 Categorized Tiny House Interiors That’ll Satisfy Every Tiny House Lover (50)

As you can see, about half the side of this house can be opened up wide to the outdoors, uniting the interior and exterior and filling the home with natural light.

You can see how the interior of this house is similar to the interior of the one that we just looked at in that a lot of the features are along one wall so that the other can be left open for windows.

Once again, most of the features in the home are as compact as they can be. The reality is, you really don’t need a huge bed or kitchen to live comfortably in most situations. This interior is functional and beautiful, deriving its sense of spaciousness from its union with the outdoors.

50. Turin, Italy Hillside Home

This modern tiny house is built right into a hillside in Turin, Italy.

77 Categorized Tiny House Interiors That’ll Satisfy Every Tiny House Lover (51)

With the way the house is positioned on the hillside and its huge glass windows making up the front façade, it offers incredible views of the surrounding countryside. But that is not the only appeal of living in this breathtaking tiny house.

The house features a split level design with some wide “steps.” Concealed within the steps are some surprising features. Not only do they contain storage drawers, but they also hide an entire pop-up kitchen.

The genius of this design is that the entire top level of the house is available for the bedroom (and bathroom, I presume), while the bottom is available for the living room. That leaves the views of the countryside through the front of the house as open and unobstructed as possible, making for an amazing living space.

You can check out what the interior looks like with the kitchen closed up in the original post.

51. Tiny House with Wall of Shutters

If what you want is a tiny house which is filled with light and views of beautiful surroundings, you will fall in love with the interior of this striking tiny house by Zecc Architecten and Roel van Norel.

77 Categorized Tiny House Interiors That’ll Satisfy Every Tiny House Lover (52)

Two walls of the house are comprised entirely of glass. But the smart design feature on the exterior is a set of shutters which can close over the entirety of the long glass wall. This feature makes it possible to completely open the interior of the home to amazing views and lots of natural light when desired, or as close it off for total privacy when preferred.

You can see into the house easily in this image, and it is clear that the vast majority of space inside is wide open.

This shot from the interior shows you that just as one wall is comprised entirely of glass, the other is full of cabinets and functional utilities. By situating these features all along one wall, it is possible to leave most of the floor space in the house open. There is even a cleverly concealed bathroom accessible via the downstairs bedroom.

It isn’t everyday you see simple, streamlined, efficient interior design like this, so check out the rest of the photos at the original post.

52. Tiny Lake House

Another clever tiny house with a similar functional interior design is the Recreational Island House by 2by4-architects.

77 Categorized Tiny House Interiors That’ll Satisfy Every Tiny House Lover (53)

This is another tiny house that features plenty of glass windows and wide open floor space. Like the previous house, it has most of the utilities cleverly integrated directly into one wall. There is a kitchen, toilet, shower and storage all present and accounted for, making this a fully functional home, even though at first glance, it appears to have none of these amenities.

This house boasts another amazing functional feature, which is the ability to open one of the walls up. After doing so, you can literally jump straight out of the interior into the lake.

53. Dielle Container Bed

Finally, this is not a tiny house, but rather a furniture design, but it is worth showing off in this section since furnishings like this one can make for a more functional tiny house interior.

By opening the doors at the base of the bed and lifting up the mattress, you have a kind of walk-in closet.

Stylish

In our next category, I want to share tiny houses that have interiors that are particularly stylish. As this category is essentially subjective, these are tiny houses which I consider particularly awesome with regards to their aesthetics. I hope that you will find them as fabulous as I do.

54. Pietro Belluschi Award-Winning Teahouse

This tiny house was built for a couple in Portland and designed by architect Pietro Belluschi. He actually fell in love with his own design and bought the house from his clients after a few years went by.

77 Categorized Tiny House Interiors That’ll Satisfy Every Tiny House Lover (55)

The interior unites Scandinavian and Japanese influences.

There are strong hints of Frank Lloyd Wright here in terms of materials, colors, and the flow of open space.

55. 670 Square Feet Minimalist Tiny House in San Diego

This gorgeous tiny house is situated in the countryside near San Diego.

77 Categorized Tiny House Interiors That’ll Satisfy Every Tiny House Lover (56)

The house features distinctive colors and textures inside and outside, and the interior and exterior complement each other well.

The interior is well-illuminated. The minimalist design keeps the focus on the beautiful woodland setting as seen through the huge windows on both walls. Most people living in this region don’t have views like these, so an interior which makes the most of them like this one is an ideal design choice.

56. Room with a View in Austria

If you are visiting Austria, you can book a stay in the Ufogel tiny house. A lot of pictures of the exterior of this tiny house have circulated online, and it has gone somewhat viral. But there aren’t as many pictures of the interior making rounds, and it is arguably even cooler than the outside of the structure.

77 Categorized Tiny House Interiors That’ll Satisfy Every Tiny House Lover (57)

Smooth organic lines and elegant minimalism focus the eye immediately on the window and the breathtaking views it offers up the Austrian mountains.

The unique shape of the accommodation maximizes enjoyment of its surroundings from inside.

57. Heliotrope Tiny House

The interior of this tiny house is impressive both because it is extremely stylish and also because the architectural firm Heliotrope did an amazing job creating the look and feel that clients Stacey Coleman and Shelley Kimball requested.

77 Categorized Tiny House Interiors That’ll Satisfy Every Tiny House Lover (58)

The clients told the architect when they commissioned the house, “When we walk in and drop our bags and look around, we want to feel like we’re in a modern art gallery.” As you can see, this was accomplished perfectly. It only takes a single glance to get the impression that this is a small, private gallery.

The corner windows here seem to be somewhat Wright-inspired. I don’t know whether they open or closed. Take note that the daybed is on casters, so the owners of the home can move it to wherever they want.

The exterior is really cool, and a perfect match for the interior. To see it, check the source link.

58. The Vipp Shelter

This stylish tiny house is made out of steel, and was constructed by a company that has been manufacturing steel products since 1939.

77 Categorized Tiny House Interiors That’ll Satisfy Every Tiny House Lover (59)

You can appreciate how open to the beautiful natural surroundings the interior is, considering that we are standing outside the house looking in, and can see pretty much the whole living space easily.

I sure wish while typing this that I was sitting at this desk working! Although, I wouldn’t get much done, because the amazing view through the window would distract me, as would the beautiful design of the interior I was seated in.

59. The Cornelia

The Cornelia is a tiny house designed by New Frontier (the same builders who brought us the Alpha and the Escher). It is named after its commissioner, an author named Cornelia Funke. It is her library and writing studio, but can also be used as a guest house.

77 Categorized Tiny House Interiors That’ll Satisfy Every Tiny House Lover (60)

There’s a lot to love about this interior, which is simple, homey, and spacious, with an elegant design. But what I like the most about it is how it can transform its character and ambience dramatically between daytime and night.

During the daytime, it is flooded with sunlight. But at night, artfully placed mood lighting enhances its tranquility. Also, the dark blue ceiling calls to mind the nighttime sky.

60. The Delta Shelter

Okay, so this structure is 1,000 square feet, but I love it too much not to show it off. It is still relatively compact, even though it is the size of a couple tiny houses put together.

The house is situated on the flood plain of the Methow River. The client wanted architect Olson Kundig to make him a vacation house which would offer incredible views, but also be indestructible.

77 Categorized Tiny House Interiors That’ll Satisfy Every Tiny House Lover (61)

The unusual feature you see here inside the home is a wheel that can be used to open and close the steel panels over the huge glass windows. This gives the owner complete control over at the level of privacy and protection at any given time.

The building is several stories high, offering commanding views of the surrounding natural splendour.

61. The Sol Duc Cabin

This is another Olson Kundig creation.

77 Categorized Tiny House Interiors That’ll Satisfy Every Tiny House Lover (62)

Like the previous abode, it has shutters which the occupant can operate to close off the huge glass windows which comprise the front of the structure.

The vertical build of the structure makes for a wide-open interior. Whether you are in the kitchen or up in the loft, you can enjoy the breathtaking views through the front windows to their fullest.

62. Coromandel Beach Tiny House

This amazing house was designed by Crosson.

77 Categorized Tiny House Interiors That’ll Satisfy Every Tiny House Lover (63)

It is a design which features a space in the middle which can be opened up on both sides to the outdoors to offer incredible views and a pleasant cross breeze. With its beach location, this is the perfect layout to maximize enjoyment of the surroundings. The emphasis on horizontal lines in the design also draws the eye to the distant horizon.

You can see that same emphasis on horizontal lines in spaces throughout the interior of this beach house.

There are additional beautiful photos of the interior and exterior of the house at the original post.

63. Skardsøya Tiny House

This tiny house is located in Skardsøya, Norway. The site features a sloping rock, and the house was shaped in such a way that it would fit into this landscape without needing to carve into the rock.

77 Categorized Tiny House Interiors That’ll Satisfy Every Tiny House Lover (64)

The minimalist interior has a somewhat stark look to it, but that is exquisitely fitting with its austere environment. This is another tiny house which emphasizes horizontal lines to beautiful effect.

I have long adored this bathroom. I love how there is a low horizontal window situated directly above the bathtub. While you are soaking in your nice, warm bath, you can gaze out at the desolately beautiful scenery.

64. Villa in Beroun

The Villa in Beroun is the work of Czech design firm HŠH Architekti.

77 Categorized Tiny House Interiors That’ll Satisfy Every Tiny House Lover (65)

The house is surreal and has been called an “imaginary space chess board” by its architect. It consists of a set of interconnected cubes. Some of the walls are opaque while others are transparent. Each cube is a different functional space.

It is minimalist and somewhat ascetic in its look, yet it is infused with a sense of playful fun.

65. Dragspelhuset Tiny House

77 Categorized Tiny House Interiors That’ll Satisfy Every Tiny House Lover (66)

You can see that it looks almost like it grew here in the forest. The interior is just as cool as the exterior.

Despite measuring only 200 square feet, the building feels amazingly open and roomy inside. The inside, like the outside, is inspired by the forest and looks like it grew naturally into existence.

66. Arquitectura Orgánica “Bio-Architecture” Home

Here is a really amazing tiny house which looks like a nautilus. It was designed by Javier Senosiain of Arquitectura Orgánica and was constructed in 2006. Since then, photos of its exterior have circulated around a lot.

77 Categorized Tiny House Interiors That’ll Satisfy Every Tiny House Lover (67)
