I have been having trouble editing my posts. I know there is some sort of time delay, but after I post I try to correct spelling or grammar, after doing so and pressing the saved button it takes me back to the sign in page. Help

Thanks Ashley for trying to help. Well my links are not always valids and I don't know why, when I'm loged on yahoo it's ok but after they are no more valid. In any case, I think my pic may be too large so I'll be happy if people could just acces them, no need for it to apear at each of my post.
In concl, if you can find a way to make my links work or tell me how it's fine with me.
    Thanks again

    marie23,

The reason your links work is because as you stated, you have to be logged into yahoo to see them. Looking at the link, it looks as those those albums/pics are private. They cannot be publicly accessed. Try putting the pics you want in a photobucket account or something similar and I can help you from there.

I have to click "Smilies are on" to see the list we can choose from.
That does seem to be a browser issue. What browser are you using and what version?

i'll have to try to empty my files. i'll have my hubby do it. he's the computer pro in the family. LOL! i feel like a total whiner, but i also can't get my siggy to work. i can fill one out, but when i post it's not there. do i have to push something special? or be a contributor? or anything else?

    thanks for the replies everybody.

Grace, I'm not sure what version it is, but I believe I have what's called Mozilla. I have WebTV Plus, so I can't upgrade to another version until MSN gives another upgrade. And I don't have a hard drive.

That's the only problem I'm having. Everything else is just fine, and I can see all the other smileys after I've clicked to get to the list. So, I figure I should be happy since that's the only problem I'm having!

Make sure you are saving your signature. When I look at your profile, your signature should be there, and I don't see it. If that doesn't work, let one of us know what you want your signature to say/look like, and we can add it for you.

Sometimes, but I've got Norton's Password Manager on my PC and that fills everything out for me. It could be problems with my sister's wireless router. She got a not so good one and sometimes I have trouble posting replys. Once I unplug her from the internet, I'm fine.

I can't find an "eek" smiley, the kind whose eyes bug out... is there one and I'm just not seeing it, lol?

Also, my siggy still shows up more than once per thread if I forget to uncheck it, but I thought I read that that plug-in was in... Any info is appreciated! Thanks!!

Wait, you don't have a hard drive?? You're using the TV I assume, since you're using WebTV Plus? This may be the reason why you don't see the smilies right off the bat, because I know that the browsers for WebTV have a lot of restrictions to make it better for the user.

That is an interesting solution - I'll have to remember that one That is really curious - I wonder why that is..

The closest to an "eek" smiley I think is the Hello Kitty type smiley/kao. I was planning on finding a bit more smilies.. so I guess I'll have to find a more normal one.. hehe, though when I do that I tend to get carried away ^_^

as for the siggy, I need to add this to the main thread, but if you reply to a thread, you will see it more than once - especially with quick reply. The plug-in is not a dynamic one - it's not affective immediately after a reply. Something with the quick reply does not somehow hit the line of code where it checks to see if the user's signature has showed up already once. However, if you refresh the page after you have submit a reply, you should see that your signature only appears with one of your posts on that page. If this is not happening, please let me know

I started this thread, but on the main MK Fan Chat page, it says Heather started it. It's not a big deal, but just kind of weird & I wondered why. Thought I'd mention it in case there are other similar glitches.

The new smileys are great, but there seems to be an important one missing...Where's the "Beating a Dead Horse" smiley?

I noticed that too, very weird! I didn't change it, I promise. I have noticed this at least once before. In the ezboard username thread that Grace started, for a few days, it said another poster started it. Which I found funny, since the thread was started before the board was even open! But somehow, that has gone back to the correct info, so maybe that thread will too? Eventually?

Hee, you think!? (though I'm guilty too!) SO glad we have a limit on the number of images in a post, since we went overboard on the actual smilies.

Thanks Grace. I had a feeling that was part of the problem. At some of the other message boards, I can see the smilies when I reply to a post. So, I think it depends on what version the message board is also.

Wow! This all seems like very hard work! All the work to put this board together seems extremely hard!

Just reading all the requests and issues people seem to be having gives me a headache!

    Question Who's online?

This is a question out of curiosity, and if you can't answer it, I'll still sleep tonite. The number of viewing the different forums is less than the total humber of people online.

For example, when I came here just now, it says 129 online (39 member, 90 guests). But when I look at the # viewing each forum, it only adds up to 108. What happened to the other 11 people?

Also, if someone chooses to be anonymous, are they counted as a guest, or not at all?

Like I said, not earth shattering, and if you don't know the answer, don't spend your time researching it, as I'm sure you have better things to do. It's a fun feature to watch. I hope we can keep it.

Anyway, thanks for all your work on this thing.

I could be wrong, but I'm going to take a stab at it. People can be on the board, but not viewing a part of the forum. A member could be on the main page of the board, so they aren't viewing a section of th eboard. They could be reading PMs, or fiddling with settings in their custom panel. They could be viewing the Calendar, FAQ, or member list. They could be doing a search.

They are counted as a member. For example, right now it says there are 39 members, however, only 36 member names are visible, while 3 are invisible.

What happened to the Cloud Nine section for posting links to videos? Will it be added to this new home for MKF?

It's still there. You have to be logged in to see the section. Only registered users can view the Downloads section, so you must be registered & logged in to use it.

We always wanted it this way, but ezboard doesn't have that type of feature. Thankfully this board does. It can take a long time for members to upload a video, so it's only fair that only MKFers can download the files. Also, since we ask that users comment when they download the file, obviously, only registered users can post on the board. So, again, there is no problem for only registered users to see that section.

The fact that you must be registered & logged in to view the Downloads section is in the FAQ, but the explanation of why isn't, so I think I'll add that to the FAQ.

Heather, I put up some avatars up in GraFx, you can add them to the site for ppl to use. Some better ones to come in the future.

Mods, could I ask why the subtitle for MK Fan Chat is "Main Forum Description?" It seems like it was put there for a placemarker and never changed. Or maybe that is how you want it, I have no idea.

Jarrett, it was never changed. I changed it now to what we had on ezboard.
