Michelle Kwan heals breach between parties in America. Condi Rice helped get her interested in University of Denver at a White House dinner. John Podesta has worked with her in helping Asian-American students, she is a true ambassador.

The fact that she is skating again and plans to return to the ice should be the take-away from this article. Michelle Kwan contributed so much to the sport of figure skating and elevated the artistic component through her wonderful talent. Don't give a hoot about her politics -- never did, never will -- she doesn't need to be "forgiven" for anything. Just hope she decides to return to the ice in some capacity -- "Senior" Olympics would be wonderful./

Does anyone think she and Kim might be going to skate together at the Olympics and that is why she is brushing up. If she can do a double axel which we know she can do and a triple toe she would be fine. Actually she doesn't even need to jump to please her fans.

I saw Peggy Fleming skate in the Ice Capades (which will tell you how long ago it was) when she was 5 months' pregnant. She didn't do a single jump, but she was still mesmerizing.

Michelle skated in her last COI tour with no jumps, and was mesmerizing. Her injured hip was hurting so bad that she had to take it easy, and she hobbled out to the receiving line with a big ice pack in place, when I had the thrill of getting her autograph.
