    Default Michelle Likeness Head

Below is a Link to a company that produces likeness heads, that is, artificial heads of gelatine, wax, and foam. The two leftmost images in the second row are of a Michelle likeness head. When I first came upon this, I thought they were images of Michelle that I'd never seen before. The level of realism here is uncanny -- and a bit spooky, I think.

Is there a way to see the whole head, or to make the picture rotate?

That is unbelievably so real. All I can say is WOW. All of the heads are of men except two icons and a woman I never saw before.

I've carefully compared the ATD Creations Michelle head images with high-resolution images of the Madame Tussaud's figure of Michelle -- and I think the ATD Creations head and the Tussaud's figure head MIGHT be one in the same.

If not, then the obvious question is, what purpose or application would there be for an ultra-realistic artificial Michelle head? And who would have commissioned it?

Now, that freaked me out a bit. Thanks for sharing, Rick. FBI, CIA, etc.--I'm sure they are aware of the company. They could hire them for all kinds of missions!

Not that it would happen, but if this lifelike Michelle likeness head were ever mass-produced and put on the market, I wouldn't buy one. To me, it's one thing to have on my dresser a 5" x 7" framed photo of Michelle performing her Spiral; but it would be quite another to have an utterly realistic life-sized Michelle head staring at me from my dresser. Too creepy, I daresay; horror movie overtones. (And what would the neighbors think?)

ETA: On Twitter, Michelle has confirmed that this is the head of her Madame Tussaud's figure:

What a weird company. ATD Creations seems to be a one-man show based in England that creates special effects make-up and prosthetics for science fiction movies and the like The owner also invented a kind of vacuum pump that pumps the air out of molding materials to compress it and remove bubbles.

If you look him up on IMDB (David Malinowski) he is in the credits for a bunch of movies, etc., including Harry Potter and Downton Abby.

Strangely, "ATD" is also an unrelated company (Attraction Tickets Direct) that arranges tours and sells tickets on line for various attractions, including the Madame Toussauds wax museums around the country.

Anyway, cool that Michelle responded to Rick's tweet.

That Michelle would take the time out of her incredibly busy schedule to reply to me, essentially a nonentity who's never met her, is a testament to her class and kindness towards her fans.

ETA: Around the year 2000, on The Discovery Channel as I recall, there was a documentary about the making of Michelle's Madame Tussaud's figure. The program showed Michelle being photographed from all angles, and the intricate and precise measurements taken of her entire body from head to toe. I remember Michelle in the program stating how the figure would be something she would want to show her children and grandchildren.

The great thing is that it is not just Michelle being kind and classy. No matter how big she gets, she still takes a youthful and unaffected delight in these exchanges and interactions. i think she's tickled when fans post off the wall stuff about her and blasts from the past.

Companies like this; as well as some renowned makeup artists, have done so.

Maybe Cinnamon Carter on Mission: Impossible is going to have to impersonate Michelle!

Rick, you have GOT to stop putting yourself down! You are a very creative and funny person, and I will have no more of this calling yourself a "nonentity"! Next time I hear that, I will

Thanks for the kind words, michellesmom!

What I really meant is that there are any number of Michelle fans here who have met Michelle a number of times, and who are thus personally known to her, such as you, SamChez, Grace, Heather, Kwanette, and IzzyS, whom she would readily recognize on the "street."

I've never met Michelle, though, so if she saw me on the "street," she wouldn't know me from Adam (even during the Eve ). She only "knows" me a bit through my posts on Twitter and here.

Nevertheless, she still -- on several occasions, in fact -- has taken the time out from her busy life and schedule to respond to Twitter posts of mine. And I think that's a testament to her kindness and class in how she treats even her "anonymous" long-distance fans.

Michelle does, indeed, recognize Heather, Grace, and a few others, but I've only met her very briefly 3 or 4 times, so she doesn't know me from Adam. Or Eve. But she's always been sweet and gracious to me, so I'm OK with it.

So WHICH Madame Tussaud's has this figure? I'm guessing the one in Hollywood?

Not Hollywood. I think it's in London?
