Bad competition for the Americans this year. Abbot's PCS among the best, but he could not deliver with the technical. Joubert a surprise. Happy for him after such a long streak of disappointment.

True that! And rippon's pcs were IMO surprisingly low.

Oops. No repeat medal for artur, and no men's medal for Russia this year. No wonder they keep dragging plushy out of mothballs.

I'm just about over Adam, despite his curly hair...until his next performance.

We don't know who has seen a sports psychologist. Maybe all of them, maybe none of them.

Dai stole the show today and kudos to Baboo and KVDP.

CONGRATULATIONS to Dai, in my eyes he won the Gold medal today.
Lot of love in the audience for Dai today. The crowd went wild, reminded
me of when Michelle skated and how she would bring the crowd to their feet before
    she was even finished.

Dai's freeskate was superb. Wish he would have won.

Diddo here. I recall there was another comp (i think earlier in the season) when Chan had a disastrous skate but still ended up winning over Dai. His interpretation of that jazzy piece was amazing and full of spunk and energy, and even towards the end of the FP he still had alot of energy left. Yet again, they deny him the top spot. Wonder what kind of sinister deals are in place for Chan to be held up like that.

I wonder if the two Russian guys are headed for Siberia.

Yep, Dai was robbed for sure! That LP was awesome. He skates with so much heart, and his footwork is glorious.

Chan was just not as good. Figure skating is turning into some lame reality TV show, where the judges/producers favor certain skaters/contestants over others, and that's that. It's hard to watch.

So I'm getting around to watching more of the men's performances today, and Yuzuru Hanyu was INCREDIBLE! Wow. Talk about skating with heart. And he was so excited about his results. Passion, HUMILITY, skating with joy...probably the Michelle fan in me, but those are the qualities that make a performance, and a skater, timeless.
