Default Tea Party Anti-Health Care Reform Rally (3/20)

Tea Party Protests: 'Ni**er,' 'Fa**ot' Shouted At Members Of Congress (Contains protest photos)

    James Clyburn:
"Last Monday, this past Monday, I stayed home to meet on the campus of Claflin University where fifty years ago as of last Monday... I led the first demonstrations in South Carolina, the sit ins... And quite frankly I heard some things today I have not heard since that day. I heard people saying things that I have not heard since March 15, 1960 when I was marching to try and get off the back of the bus."

I hope the ones who want to see America go back to the way it was in the 1950s and 60s are happy. I wish the word "teabagger" was spelled with a K or a C so I could write it with 3 K's. I am thisclose to wishing that the whole "death panel" thing was true just so each and every teabagger could be dumped in front of one.

I heard Jon Voight was there. I wonder what he thought when his fellow teabaggers started screaming the N-word? Did it occur to him that they would probably happily scream the exact same thing at his granddaughter, "Shakira"? Or does he only consider white biological kids his grandchildren? I wonder if Sarah and "Juneau" Palin will speak up about this?

Is this supposed to be "compassionate conservatism"? Congratulations to the Republican Party for promoting a climate of fear, hate and intolerance in this country. I was watching Meet the Press this morning and had to turn it off. I thought I was going to hurl if I had to hear House Minority Leader John Boner (cough, cough Boehner) say we have the greatest health care in the world. We do not.

One thing I do not like though is that in 2014, the new version "requires" purchase of health insurance. To me, this is a gift to the insurance companies who are already sucking the blood out of us all. You shouldn't have to buy something if you don't want to and if you choose not to, then of course, you should have to pay out of your pocket if you want care.

But more than that, I just wish we would make it simple once and for all and cover everybody without all of the complications. In many ways, I feel as if we are becoming a very cruel and bitter society.

P.S. The Democrats are clueless. They should take a page out of the Republican playbook of spreading sensationalism and fear, and make a commercial of these a--holes yelling at the poor man and say, "This is what the Republicans are selling: Hate, fear, intolerance and cruelty...."

I don't want the Democrats to spend money on the same kind of hate ads that Republicans make. I want their ads to have actual ideas for the good of the country.

Never did I suggest hate ads.

And I hate to burst your idealistic bubble, but most of the general public responds to sensationalism, not actual good ideas for the country. The majority has been dumbed down, especially when they tolerate news being dominated by Tiger Woods being addicted to sex.

    Yes, unfortunately you are correct.

I didn't mean to suggest that you were in favor of hate ads. I should have said: "... ads responding to hate."

Add Sarah Palin to your list of terrorists. She now has a map of the U.S. (linked to her Facebook account) of House members who she wants people to "target" and "put in their crosshairs." And the map is marked with targets like what you'd see at a shooting range.

Sorry, but there needs to be a response to this hatred, and it needs to be out there, on the table, and in front of the people who are grouping together with these ignorant jerks and protesting. They had better know who they're grouped with. I bet quite a few didn't give a crap about health care, they just wanted an excuse to hurl their hatred.

Andrew Breitbart offers $10,000 prize for anyone who can document tea party protesters yelling

    http://bighollywood.breitbart.com/ab...ped-the-shark/

It’s time for the allegedly pristine character of Rep. John Lewis to put up or shut up. Therefore, I am offering $10,000 of my own money to provide hard evidence that the N- word was hurled at him not 15 times, as his colleague reported, but just once. Surely one of those two cameras wielded by members of his entourage will prove his point.

And surely if those cameras did not capture such abhorrence, then someone from the mainstream media — those who printed and broadcast his assertions without any reasonable questioning or investigation — must themselves surely have it on camera. Of course we already know they don’t. If they did, you’d have seen it by now.

    THOUSANDS OF TIMES.

Rep. Lewis, if you can’t do that, I’ll give him a backup plan: a lie detector test. If you provide verifiable video evidence showing that a single racist epithet was hurled as you walked among the tea partiers, or you pass a simple lie detector test, I will provide a $10K check to the United Negro College Fund.
This whole episode was fabricated in an effort to discredit the Tea Party. There is NO WAY the Capitol Police would have tolerated that many epithets without stepping in to control the situation. And they didn’t, because they didn’t have to.

My brother-in-law was there on Saturday and Sunday. There were members of the Capitol Police escorting the congressmen (who did not have to be in the middle of the Tea Party crowd... they could have used the underground tunnels like all the other members of Congress did). Plus, as the article states, members of Rep. Lewis' entourage were filming everything - using two cameras. So let's see their film.

Before this "incident" allegedly took place, one of the Capitol policemen told my brother-in-law that they had spotted a few "professional agitators" trying to blend in with the Tea Party crowd at one point.

The whole non-incident is a big LIE, cooked up by the Democrats... probably by Rahm Emanuel or David Axelrod. The congressmen purposely walked through a "hostile" crowd, trying to provoke a reaction - didn't get one - so they made up a story, and their fellow 'RAT Congressmen and the MSM backed them up and spread the word.

That doesn't suprise me, Tarynn. I will say that I do not like Rahm Emanuel, and I have been annoyed ever since Obama chose him for his staff. It made me question what was going on there. Some sort of payback from Chicago?

But yeah, anything is possible with politics, so some of it could have very well been fabricated. I hope the slurs weren't true. And like you said, I'd think there would be video of it if it did occur. Guess we'll see...

How would the police know who was a "tea party" person & who was not?
Since the "tea parties" are generally grassroots groups without official membership, wouldn't anyone be able to say they were a "tea party" person?

It would be lovely if this "I didn't see it, so it doesn't exist" concept applied to God. Since fundies can't produce proof that He exists, they shouldn't have the right to shove him down everyone else's throat and going around mistreating others in his name.

Back on topic, I had another post written out in response to Tarynn's post, but it was, to quote Andy Samberg-as-Rahm Emanuel, so obscene it would make her computer cry. So I'll just say this:

I'm supposed to believe that a group of people who have created a poster of the sitting President of the United States Photoshopped to look like a so-called witch doctor (slurring an ENTIRE COUNTRY [that I'd bet no teabagger could find on a map] in the process) and the persistent "Go Back to Africa" Birther movement (to which several MKF members proudly belong) are incapable of hurling racial epithets. That since it's not on Youtube, it didn't happen, and John Lewis is a liar who owes the teabaggers a lie detector test. John Lewis is an American hero and no teabagger is fit to even lick the bottom of his shoes. He faced things that would make Teabagger Tarynn sh*t her mom jeans. The teabaggers are so in love with "personal responsibility". Take some for a change.

Oh look, the infamous "Black People MAKE Me Racist" argument. White teabaggers get to gather where ever they want, screaming, waving hateful signs, and waving guns, but blacks don't have the right to walk past them in THEIR OWN WORKPLACE without being harassed, because the Constitution is only for white people. Those uppity darkies shouldn't have walked past those good, non-racist, angelic white people if they didn't want to be called names. I do not appreciate the teabagging rednecks painting CIVILIZED white people as rabid animals with no self-control. (Especially since that would make me half-animal.)

The "provocation" argument can go both ways, you know. If a teabagger makes a choice to venture outside of his or her KKKave and open the sewage-filled cesspool in his or her face, then he or she has provoked someone who disagrees with them into telling them to go back to Hell where they came from.

The teabaggers' knuckles must be incredibly bloody and raw from dragging on the ground all the time. Here's some personal advice: Don't trip over your KKKlub on the way back to your KKKave.

Former militiaman unapologetic for calls to vandalize offices over health care
Vanderboegh said he once worked as a warehouse manager but now lives on government disability checks. He said he receives $1,300 a month because of his congestive heart failure, diabetes and hypertension.

    RAC5Viggie,

I see God's hand in my life every day. There are times He stops me from saying something that I would regret (sometimes I forget to listen). But for His grace, I wouldn't have shelter, food, clothing, great friends and family. I look at the majestic mountains and I gaze at the enormous ocean - I hear a child's laughter - I witness a hug by an elderly couple - and I smile. God has made all that possible for me.

I see the pain that others suffer and my heart aches for them and I am compelled to see how I can help -- that is God touching me. Because when it comes to God I believe with ever fiber in my being.

When it comes to mankind - I do not believe all that is said. There is no person that I would worship in the way that I worship my Lord. Do I think racism exists? Absolutely and on many levels. Do I think it is just with republicans? Abraham Lincoln was a republican. I would not call this man a racist. Therefore, I believe there are other republicans who are not. I don't believe all the teabaggers are racist. I don't believe all republicans are racist. I don't believe all democrats are racist. I do believe that people will spin stories to incite/create news. Typically, when there is absolute proof - there is a ton of main stream media just waiting to put it on the news/ youtube. I'm sure something will show up on video soon.

    RAC5Viggie,

I am really sick and tired of reading your crap. You spew so much filth and hatred on this board that I'm amazed you haven't been banned yet.

I never said John Lewis had no right to walk anywhere. You really need to stop painting anyone who disagrees with Obama or his policies as racists. That race card is getting real worn out from being played so often and is going to fall apart soon.

I see I hit a nerve showing the proof that no racial slurs were directed at John Lewis or anyone else for that matter. If it happened then where is the proof? Thousands of people with cameras and video and nobody caught it.

Did you know that there are also African-American Tea Party members such as Kevin Jackson and Deneen Borelli? Tea Party members are all races, religions and party affiliations. Don't assume we are all white Republicans, because we're not.

I thought Andrew Breitbart (the conservative media guy who is offering the $10,000 "N-word reward") said there was proof that that the N-word was indeed shouted at Lewis, but "only" once.

    Wouldn't even "once" be proof?

And wouldn't even "once" be one more time than should have ever happened?

Again, read carefully. He said he was offering the money to anyone who had evidence that the word was used just one time if at all.

"Not 15 times but just once"

    does not mean:

"Not 15 times but just once if at all."

You added the "if at all"; it is not anywhere in the words that he actually said.

  25. Default

If you read what he is saying -- he is challenging that it was even said once let alone 15 times. He says with all the video around - if this had been chanted - it would have been on tv somewhere.

I don't know - I wasn't there and the racist card gets thrown so many times here - I am sure if it was documented - someone would jump on that bandwagon.
