Well, it looks like Palin is a real celebrity now
Bristol Palin was faced with an unplanned pregnancy at the young age of 18. After giving birth to her son Tripp in December 2008 — and broke up with her boyfriend, Levi Johnston — the reality of single motherhood quickly set in.

I remember sitting on a black recliner, just bawling my eyes out,” Bristol tells In Touch. “I was just rocking Tripp to sleep because he had been screaming for so long. I was just like, ‘What am I going to do? This is as bad as it gets.'”
Though raising an infant has been challenging, Bristol has the unconditional love and support of her family, including her mother Sarah Palin. Just a year earlier at the age of 44, Sarah carried her son Trig to term, even though she was told during a sonogram that he would be born with Down syndrome.

The mother-daughter duo are sharing their unique experiences of raising baby boys together under the same roof. “The last few years have been unreal and surreal,” Sarah says.

For the full exclusive check out this week’s issue of In Touch, on newsstands Friday.

Yes, and in the magazine interview, both Sarah & Bristol say that they are glad that they "chose" life.

So clearly, neither one is anti-abortion, since each one decided that they had a choice as to whether to continue their pregnancies. If they were truly anti-abortion, they would have said; "We never even considered not having our babies."

It's offensive considering their "pro-life", abstinence-only stances, and hugely offensive consider that Sarah is vocal about her belief that rape victims don't deserve the same choice that she and her daughter had.

Poll: Most Don't Want Sarah Palin to Run for President
A new CBS News poll finds that a large majority of Americans say they do not want former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin to run for president.

Specifically, 71 percent say they do not want the former Republican vice presidential nominee to run for president, while 21 percent say they do want her to run.

When the results are split out by party, 56 percent of Republicans say they do not want her to seek the office and 30 percent do. Meanwhile, 88 percent of Democrats do not want her to run. Among independents, 65 percent do not want her to run and 25 percent do.

The poll also finds that more people view Palin negatively than positively and that her book tour did not improve overall views of her. However, she is a little better-known now than she was last fall, and both favorable and unfavorable ratings of her have increased slightly.

Now, 26 percent of people view Palin favorably, compared with 23 percent in November and July of last year. Forty-one percent now view her unfavorably, compared with 38 percent in November and 37 percent in July (both in CBS News polls). Nineteen percent of people in the current poll are undecided about Palin.

Forty-three percent of Republicans have a favorable opinion of her. Independents are divided, with 30 percent holding favorable views and 35 percent unfavorable.

Conservatives are the only ideological group that holds net positive views of her -- just under half do, while a quarter are unfavorable and a quarter of conservatives are undecided.

But while favorable toward her, most conservatives say they do not want to see Palin run in 2012 – 58 percent of conservatives say she should not run.
Palin To Campaign For Bachmann, McCain, Perry
Rep. Michele Bachmann's (R-MN) campaign has just announced that she will be joined by a very special guest on the campaign trail: Former Gov. Sarah Palin (R-AK), who will be coming to Minnesota to help with Bachmann's re-election campaign.

"There is absolutely no one more in tune with the hearts and minds of everyday Americans than Governor Palin, and I'm excited to welcome her back to our beautiful state this spring," said Bachmann, in the press release.

The event will happen on April 7 -- and should probably be pretty fun to watch. Palin is also set to campaign for Gov. Rick Perry (R-TX) and her former running mate, Sen. John McCain (R-AZ), both of whom are facing primary challenges.

Bristol Palin vows no more pre-marital sex - and says other women should follow her lead
Bristol Palin's goal? No more pre-marital sex.

The 19-year-old mom told Oprah Winfrey on Friday she's been depressed since the birth of her 13-month-old son, Tripp, and she won't make the same mistake twice.

"I just think it's a goal to have, and other women should have that goal," Palin said of her chastity oath.
How about...you do what you want with your sex life, and other women do what they want with theirs?

Oh, so she is saying that she was punished for her mistake with a baby? I seem to remember the Palin crowd attacking Obama when he said a similar thing about not wanting his daughters to get pregnant before marriage.

Speaking of Bristol: She apparently has just filed a suit against Levi seeking $1700 a month in child support. Now, Levi should be paying child support (though $1700 seems a bit high), but isn't this the same Bristol who also is seeking full legal custody of Tripp? So she wants total control of the child, very limited visitation for Levi & also $1700 a month? What planet is she living on?

Still waiting for Ms. Sarah to blast Limbaugh in the same way she did Rahm for the
    "R-word" controversy ....

Or for Levi to repeat his claim that Ms. Sarah used the "R-word" herself to describe" her own
    special-needs baby.

I am guessing she might want to drop the whole thing.

Apparently, Palin's rep did issue a statement that was critical of Limbaugh's repeated use of the word "retard" (and also a similar offense by an aide to Texas' Rick Perry), but
did not demand that either be fired (as she did with Rahm).

It should be noted that Limbaugh's "retard" comments were actually more offensive than Rahm's "retarded" because "retard" refers specifically to a person with diminished mental capacity. The word "retarded" in the sense that Rahm used it referred not to people but to a policy, in the same way that the word "ridiculous" would be used.

But yes, it would be nice if Rahm could find less crude ways to express himself.

Actually, "retarded" is the official word used to diagnose "intellectually challenged" people in the DSM-IV-TR. It's been 10 years since I took a class in diagnosis of mental conditions, but I'm pretty sure that neither "retard" (the noun) nor "f------g retarded" are in the DSM-IV-TR. I think I'd remember seeing them.

They should *all* be ashamed of themselves, IMHO, for using such a vulgar term. It's inexcusable. I'm not going to apologize for Emanuel just because he's on my side of the political spectrum. Wrong is wrong.

Moxie - who wrote the policy or plan regarding the ads? The policy or plan did not write itself. Therefore, in and of itself, it could not be retarded. It needed help. So there is an implied "people" in this.

However - if it makes people feel better to rationalize why Emanuel using a form of the word is better than what Limbaugh did -- go for it.

Bush sucked. Obama sucks less worse.
Limbaugh sucks. Emanuel sucks less worse.
Palin sucks. Pelosi sucks less worse.

There still is a lot of sucking going on -- regardless of if it is less worse or not.

..the associated press has obtained emails that suggest

todd palin was "intimately" involved in decisions related to

state government when she was governor of alaska...

...they show he was included in messages on a wide range of

government and political issues.......and that palin aides

regularly sought his advice on state appointments....he even

advocated having an alaskan newspaper removed from a

press release after sarah complained about an editor's fairness...

...and to think she said he wasn't involved in her

government decisions while she was governor...

Actually, i did not mean to excuse what Rahm said; in fact, i find his whole potty-mouth bit to be tiresome & counterproductive. (If we made him pay a dollar for every time he uses the "f" word, we could cut the national debt in half.) But, unlike what Palin said, there is no way that what he said had anything to do with special-needs children.

Have you seen our House of Representatives and Senate? If that's not a group of special-needs children -- then I don't know where else you would find them!

Palin Considering 2012 Run, Defends Limbaugh's Use Of 'Retard' On Fox News Sunday
"They are kooks, so I agree with Rush Limbaugh...Rush Limbaugh was using satire ....I didn't hear Rush Limbaugh calling a group of people whom he did not agree with 'f-ing retards,' and we did know that Rahm Emanuel, as has been reported, did say that...."

I'd kick her out of my class and send her to the dean for this:

Geez, IzzyS…Gov. Palin was not in a school classroom taking some sort of an exam. She merely wrote down “Energy, Budget cuts, Tax, and Lift American Spirit” in her hand so as for her to not forget the topics she wanted to talk about at a Tea Party Convention.

Any woman who can rise above the constant character assassinating media bias and fend off this much irrational hate from the Left like this (Absolutely love it!), is worthy of getting all the respect in the world and the millions of dollars she gets paid at that!

On Sunday the left went bonkers after they discovered that the TelePrompter-less former Governor Sarah Palin wrote notes on the palm of her left hand for her speech to the National Tea Party Convention in Nashville. The far left absolutely freaked over this non-issue rather than focus on her brilliant speech knocking the Obama Administration’s horrid record on economics and national defense.

During our classroom presentations, we would have been kicked out for reading word from word from a teleprompter. But then again ... no one in my class ever became president so perhaps our teacher was doing it all wrong.

Well, there is a huge difference between a class in which part of the grade is being able to speak from notes & then being the President, in which the entire point of speaking is to convey a very specific message to millions of people.

In the case of the president, what's important is what he's saying, NOT whether it's read from a teleprompter, a note card or a hand, or memorized.
I wouldn't want EVERY communication to be from a prompter; I think it's also important for a President to be able to answer questions in interviews & press conferences (which Obama has done frequently), just so we know the President actually has thoughts of his/her own & is not constantly reading the words of others.

As for Palin, i see no problem with her jotting down a few key words.
Just seems like an odd way to do it.

I guess I just don't understand why the keynote speaker of the Teabagger KKKonvention has to keep notes to remind herself to b*tch about taxes, slam environmentalism, and to raise the spirits of the TKK. Especially when she slams someone else for using a teleprompter. She's a stupid Mean Girl to the core.

What's embarrassing is a President of the United States who can't even manage to speak to elementary school children without using a teleprompter.

Or a POTUS who mispronounces the word "corpsmen" I think 3 times in one speech. Also, the media who gives him a pass on it while bashingz Gov. Palin for writing 6 or 7 words on her hands. What a bunch of embarrasing lying hypocrites. No wonder the cable news channels CNN,. MCNBC and HLN ratings are down 50%
