Now let's just hope that all those folks make it to the polls on November 4.

    Halloween political cartoon

Michelle Bachmann Channels McCarthy: Obama "Very Anti-American," Congressional Witch Hunt Needed
In a television appearance that outraged Democrats are already describing as Joseph McCarthy politics, Minnesota Rep. Michelle Bachmann claimed on Friday that Barack Obama and his wife Michelle held anti-American views and couldn't be trusted in the White House. She even called for the major newspapers of the country to investigate other members of Congress to "find out if they are pro-America or anti-America."
"If we look at the collection of friends that Barack Obama has had in his life," she said, "it calls into question what Barack Obama's true beliefs and values and thoughts are. His attitudes, values, and beliefs with Jeremiah Wright on his view of the United States...is negative; Bill Ayers, his negative view of the United States. We have seen one friend after another call into question his judgment -- but also, what it is that Barack Obama really believes?"
Matthews later pressed her to name a single member of Congress other than Obama who she thought was anti-American. Bachmann, who initially wouldn't budge, called for a major "expose" into the matter.

"What I would say is that the news media should do a penetrating expose and take a look. I wish they would. I wish the American media would take a great look at the views of the people in Congress and find out if they are pro-America or anti-America," she said.
Ugh...she even looks like a demon.

    O'S PLUMBER: JOE'S A JOKE!
'GIVES US PROS A BAD NAME'

    Flush that, "Joe the Plumber"!

Barack Obama's own toilet and sink repairman came to his client's defense yesterday - saying newly famous plumber Joe Wurzelbacher needs a reality check.
"That Joe the Plumber isn't even a licensed plumber," said the Democrat, union member and strong Obama supporter.

"He's taking our work. [John] McCain talks about the middle class, and then he brings up this guy as his champion. The middle class is being hurt by people exactly like him," said Dunn, who lives in the Chicago suburb of Oak Forest and has an 8-year-old daughter.

"The biggest problem for this industry is that people like him turn up, unlicensed and working illegally, and they take work away from people who are working aboveboard."
I bet after this, Zeke the Plumber (remember Salute Your Shorts?) will get more business than Joe!

I'm surprised the Republicans would use "Plumbers" again since we all know how well the use of "plumbers" worked for them 1972.

Just saying. But then if you don't remember where you came from how do you know where you're going?

The campaign raised more than $150 million last month and added 632,000 new donors for a total of 3.1 million donors.

A little drop of that came from me as purchases from the official website store are considered donations. Check it out, they have great stuff.

Keep up the good work guys, we're only two weeks out.

Colin Powell will vote for Obama. Says that Obama has displayed steadiness, intellectual curiousity, and a depth of knowledge.

I cannot get excited yet. I want to, but I'm scared too.
I was excited 8 years ago and 4 years ago only to be crushed.
I know this is why Obama is encouraging early voting.

I attended the weekly strategy meeting at my local headquarters. They're being very cautious. No talk of being up in the polls, no presumption of winning. I'm cautiously optimistic. We have a lot of work to do, but I also have a lot of faith that we can make this happen.

Terri, thanks for all the hard work you do. It is most appreciated! (The last time I worked for a candidate was McGovern, and we all know how that turned out .)

OBAMA ON THE OFFENSIVE: Assembles Thousands of Lawyers to Monitor Election
    http://www.dailykos.com/storyonly/20...263/580/636064
Obama assembles the largest "law firm" in the country:

In Florida, Democratic lawyer Charles H. Lichtman has assembled almost 5,000 lawyers to monitor precincts, assist voters turned away at the polls and litigate any disputes that can't be resolved out of court.

"On Election Day, I will be managing the largest law firm in the country, albeit for one day," said Lichtman, 53, a Fort Lauderdale corporate lawyer and veteran of the five-week recount after the 2000 election when Florida eventually delivered the presidency to George W. Bush...

We all know that as the desperate GOP contends with the very real possibility of losing this election and losing it big, the dirtier and sleazier they'll play

Barack Obama raised $150,000,000 (pronounced “eleventy billion dollars”) in September from ACORN, William Ayers, radical leftists with an extreme pro-abortion agenda, and a smattering of overseas hooligans.

Default Obama's rally canceled in Madison

We really didn't know why earlier today, but it appears that his grandmother (who helped raise him) is quite ill and he will be spending Thursday and Friday in Hawaii with her.

Of course, the pundits are spinning this - (What does this mean for his candidacy, timing, etc.)

Here is my take. He has his priorities straight. Blood is thicker than water - and he is loyal. I take his departure from the campaign for what it is: a devoted grandson wanting to possibly say good-bye to his beloved grandmother.

Only one suggestion, though. He should leave right now. The elderly can't pick a time to die; I learned that with my father who was almost 89 when he died. As soon as he had a stroke, I was in the car and on my way to his bedside. As soon as I arrived in the ICU, I knew from my training that a darkened ICU room with curtains drawn meant the patient was dying, so I quickly got the pastor of our church there to give him the last rites. He still was aware at the time. I got to be with him in the last moments of his life; when he went into a coma, and at the moment of his death. I got to pray with him holding his hand, and tell him everything I wanted to tell him. If death can be called beautiful, his death was as he wanted it.
It's like life comes full circle; he was there as my life began, and I had the privilege of being there when his life ended.

Anyway, don't wait when someone you love may be dying. I wish I could tell Obama to get on that plane right now.

Obama attends daughter Malia's soccer game in Chicago; few notice.
In what could be counted as a good omen for the Democratic nominee, daughter Malia Obama's red jersey team won their youth soccer game tonight.

Malia's father quietly strode onto the field at 8:15 wearing a dark jacket and blue hat after his workout. None of the other parents or kids seemed to notice him. The game was underway, and Michelle Obama was there.

    Ewwww! Ewwwwwwwww!!!!! That's sick!

I send prayers and good wishes to the Obama/Dunham families and an endless pox on anyone who would dare have a problem with him going to be by her side or attempt to paint him as going on an "exotic" vacation.

The new survey shows Obama leading McCain by 53 percent to 44 percent among likely voters, little changed from a Post-ABC News poll released Oct. 13. Among all registered voters, Obama leads by 10 points, 52 percent to 42 percent.
