    Hi, folks-

I just wanted to say once again "thank you" for taking the time to post all the reviews and photos. I can hardly wait to see this. It will be in my neck of the woods in a little over a week!

Default Front row or on ice seats at COI

I have never been to COI. Do they have seats on the ice on a rubber runner 3 feet from the bare ice like SOI, or are the best seats in the first row behind the boards?
    Thanks.

Default front row seats at COI

It just depends on the arena. I have had front row seats ice level literally a foot away from the ice, but last week in Augusta all front row seats were several feet above the ice. My feet were actually above the skaters heads. I was a little disappointed to pay $110 and be that high up. No chance for high fives or anything.

From Houston, take I-10 east, exit 845 or 846, there is a sign for Ford Arena, it is right by freeway.

It is exit 845. There is a huge green road sign saying "Ford Park Exit 845" about 1/2 mile before the exit. The actual exit says Major Drive and Brooks RD.

Hope that helps! I will be there with the loud crowd in section 107.

It was soooo good and exciting and I had so much fun! We were late and the Usher told me to goo all the way down to the fifth row from the bottom and my sister, mom, and lil brother were behind me and so they always announce michelle last and all of a sudden they go "MICHELLE KWAN!" and she was so close to me, I just stopped and got my family mad and got everybody behind us mad haha I was star struck. hehe but yes it was good. I saw Michelle really focussed and Olympics was definately on her mind. I had fun.

oh I forgot! haha Michelle didn't fasten her hat on all the way so it fell off and she was in the front of the train they do @ the end and she was the only one w/out a hat. She started laughing, it was cute. Then we she went to do her little section Timothy skated over and gave her his hat. It was cute!

Do any of you know how long it takes to get to Beaumont from Houston? I know it's about 90 miles... but what's the traffic like heading that direction???? Sorry to be off topic but I'm not sure where else to get the info!!

    Thanks!

agran, you could try posting in Event Info too, I'm not sure where you're more likely to get an answer! I have no idea though cuz I'm from NY! Have fun at COI!

If you allow 2 hours you should be OK. The traffic is not bad once you get east of 610 on I 10.

Thanks for all of the show reviews. I wish I could have been at the Atlanta show but between the Jamaica trip in the summer and the Bar Exam review course... I decided I would just get great seats for next year. Hopefully it will be an even better show.

This article says that Michelle will be skating to "Lady" by Lenny Kravitz at COI in Denver this coming Sunday. Huh??

Kwan skates to "Lady" by Lenny Kravitz, blending grace with her persistent, competitive spirit.

TwinnerA -- Well, it's true that she skates to it, but only for about a minute. The author only named the pieces the skaters are skating to in the opening -- and had the mistake of saying Plushenko would be there. I doubt he's recovered enough to travel to the US and skate a bunch of shows......

schez, if COI had come to AZ, I would have known she skated to Lady in the opening. I can't imagine when I will be able to see Michelle skate next. I would love to see her in St. Louis, but I am wishwashy in committing!

Just got back. MK quick details double flip in the opening. Triple Flip Triple Lutz/Double Toe/Double Loop (fall out) Triple Flip. In the finale did 3 (maybe four) double axels, more on that later. Overall it was worth the money. I saw someone with an pink MKF sign towards the middle of the arena. MK noticed them of course, waving and pointing.

I will post my long drawn out review in 10 minutes or so along with some ranting and raving. :rollin
