Default Best Michelle Kwan Spiral Sequence!

I know, I know. They are all fantabulicious! But I wonder, which spiral sequence, either from a short or long or even exhibition, do Kwanatics prefer the most! I elected not to add a "All of them, duh!" option. We all know what would happen!

If I had to choose ONE, I would have to go with the spirals she did in her 2002 Scheherazade long program. I love how she entered the spiral with such speed and conviction after landing a gorgeous triple salchow, and right along to the hight point of the music with the affectations in her hands and her gorgeous back position. Immediately afterward, she flows into a gorgeous change-of-foot Y-spin, and then into a (I gasp every time) backwards charlotte spiral is just an amazing flow and sequence of moves. I LOVE IT, AND HER, AND EVERYTHING HER!

I'd love to know what everyone thinks, even if its not one of the selections in the poll!

all of them, lol or how about that gorgeous coe spiral in You Raised Me Up where she pretty much goes all around the rink and halfway back with it. I will try to think of my fav from the above choices though and get back to you.

Only Heaven could send us such an angelic skater.

omg, I know, I elected not to put the exhibition numbers cause there's a 20 option limit on the polls (darn). but i had added an 'other' and 'exhibition' option, but i guess it didn't process, so i'll see if i can edit it right now.

EDIT: yeah, i just realized I couldn't really edit the poll, but if someone here knows how, that would be awesome. i just wanted to add a "one of her many fabolous exhibition" option and a "you missed my fav" option. sorry if this is causes any trouble. love ya'll!

Tough to compare, but I have to go with classic Rach. That's the most joyful of her spirals. Spartacus was great, too, but I think her most emotional one has to be Fields of Gold.

I voted for the sprial that she did for Adagio from Spartacus. However, I really liked the variation she did for The Red Violin. The ones from the Rachmoninoff number was nice too. Oh, lets just say it...

    they're all great!

I really wanted to choose Fields of Gold because it seemed like the whole program was a spiral sequence () or EOE from World Pro's where they talked about her truly showing the feeling of flight. BUT I just went with Rach because I remember her huge smile at 02 Olympics during that smiral.

Rach was my favorite until Spartacus came along. I just love how it hits with such a crescendo of the music. Perfect!

The public "debut" of the program.
I was blessed to be there.

2005 National Practice -- the speed in this spiral is unmatched. The other spiral that came to mind was from ADITL because of its steadiness. This is the performance where they even showed her skate going across the ice like a sailboat and then the edge change. There was no wiggling or wobbling and it sure it didn't curve out and back in like some others we've seen in the past. Simply Perfection!
Another favorite of mine is from Totentanz. Even though severely injured, the joy on her face as she breaks into the spiral and comes around the curve was so inspiring to me.

As much as my heart melts with all her smirals, I had to go with The Feeling Begins because it's the one program that stands out in my mind where her spiral isn't the lovely smiral. It's a seriously sexy spiral sequence, and I think of it as her "girl to woman" spiral - even though all the others are perfect and truly gorgeous unto themselves - something about the determination in her eyes makes this one more memorable to me.

The sequnces in Kissing You and backward change of edge in Fields of Gold are those I wish she had time to alternate in every program - not likely or even possible - but they're so beautiful (just like everything she does).
Fan forever of Michelle Kwan - the skater and the person!
