It was great meeting you Kwanette! Mr. TEacher1 finished 2 or 3 books during the practices, but he was glued to the final group of men and ladies (though he may not want to admit it). He was really pulling for MK of course and Jenny. He enjoyed seeing Johnny win because he was so thrilled. He was sorry that he had to get off the ice for the zamboni! Mr. Teacher1 bought St. Louis tickets while we were there, so he must not have had too terrible of a time! We have already looked into taking Amtrak, but it is just as expensive as flying becasue that don't have a direct line from NC.

What a great sport your husband is..

Every time I watch the broadcast I love seeing your pink sign...I hope that I can "Meet you in St. Louis.."

nymkfan51...Not to worry...There will be more verses...

I will work on..."I lika you and you lika me...." I do have the soundtrack so this will be fun...

"Have yourself a Michelle kind of Christmas..

    Ask for AMEX gift certificates..

Cause she's gonna win the gold in 06..." OK, not so good...

Norma, I know I"m mixing sports here, but the best defense is a good offense. You just need to start writing your own lyrics to "Under the Bamboo Tree" or "Skip to My Lou" for the trip.

Kwanette, I'm glad you and Norma got home safe and I'm so glad you had the greatest time as I also did. I loved seeing you on TV with your sign which I also recognized!

Ahhhh kwanette, Kwanderful report . Loved the ramblings. I am amazed at your memory, especially in your teaching years. I wish I had half the memory you do now . Anyway, I was particularly touched by "carry me to Turino." *SOB*! I really hope we get to meet one day.

THAT ONE I KNOW!!! I may not have seen Gone With the Wind *ducks* but I not only KNOW The Trolley Song, I performed in it...Meet Me in St. Louis was our Senior play. I didn't have a major part, but I can sing you every line of that damn song. "Don't tell me the lights are shining any place but there!" See??!! Impressed?!?!:b

Sarah- if you haven't seen it, do...its just Sash-tastic!

Can you tell that I was (am) a huge Judy Garland fan?

Norma, do you think Erin sings as lovely as I do?

I agree with nymkfan51. However, this is still a wonderfully upbeat thread.

    Cheers!

Norma, if kwanette does too much singing on the ride to St. Louis, you can just lock yourself in your "spacious" compartment and pretend you don't know her! :rollin Oh, those poor, well behaved, mid-westerners!

Wait a minute!!! Erin, you still haven't seen "Gone With the Wind"? Girl, go rent it NOW!! It really is a good movie.

I didn't know you could sing Erin. Hmmm, next time I see you I will have you sing some songs for me

Default I've not seen Gone with the Wind either...

But I prefered musicals so I love Gene Kelly, Judy Garland, Fred Astaire, etc. So kwanette, keep them Kwanified songs coming. It's hilarious!

    Continued:
You will be my tootsie, wootsie
If you will meet me in St Louis, Louis
    Meet me A-a-a-a-a-a-t the fair.

Did you folks know that our very own eye candy Tim played the role of the boy next door in Meet Me in St. Louis in 2002?

Great report kwanette. There was so much to tell and you told it so well. This event was one of the best ever. We'll have so much to remember and talk about for years to come. But the adventures of Norma and Kwanette surpass anything that the rest of us experienced except perhaps Pilgrimsoul. You two should write a book.
