I thought they usually began the skater appearances after the Tree Lighting on Thanksgiving weekend?

I just saw Sasha on the Today Show. She was skating to "God Bless America." Al was very positive about the fact that she was the Olympic silver medalist. It was nice hearing about it as something she should be proud rather than ashamed of. She should be happy to have a medal.

Per the questions about her acting interests, she said she'd been taking acting classes.

Oh, yeah...I forgot about the Today show appearance! Did they interview her, or was it mostly a skating appearance? If interviewed, what else did she have to say? And if just skating-how were the jumps, rest of program?

I caught the end of the Today Show and saw Sasha's little piece. Al Roker briefly talked to her about winning the silver medal, her acting and if she would hang around for the next Olympics. Sasha said something on the lines of I'd sure like to be. She said she is having fun in acting classes and talked also about the Milk Add when Al brought it up. She skated very briefly to God Bless America and then it was the end of the show.

Here are a few screen captures from the Today Show:

I agree. Sasha should be happy to have a medal.

Great job... that amazing recap of the journal "Sasha posted a new journal today. She talks about the upcomping Campbell's Cup, Practice, long hair, new costume, and acting gigs." It makes me not even want read the journal, it is more fun just imagining what she actually said about hair. I know I LOVE hair: you can cut, comb and style it..... so fun.

FYI: Sasha updated her journal on 12/6.

She mainly talks about the lighting of the Christmas Tree in New York, Skating to a Christina Aguilera Song and Meeting Her. She appears to be enjoying her life to it's fullest.

Wow! Sasha's head looks huge compared to Christina's! Christina has always been tiny, who would would think Sasha would make anyone else look tiny?
I love Christina's song "Hurt." It's very pretty and I'm sure Sasha will skate a pretty program to it with pretty skating, similar to her R&J exhibition.

Thanks. Actually, I'd be grateful to someone who could help me with an identity crisis of mine. When I came up with the screen name, I chose it in relation to some very old story back from when Kwan was a little jumping machine and someone speculated that she could serve up a quad and cheese or something like that. I can't remember the exact source or story, though. Considering that I've adopted the name, I kinda figure I ought to know more about it.

Anyone care to speculate on tomorrow's big skating announcement? I wonder if she will be posting an announcement about Nationals...

More than likely she will talk about her involvement in the upcoming Marshall's competition on December 10. I wonder if she will have two new programs.

There is no big skating announcement. She said she would post a more on Thurs with skating news, since she didn't talk about skating in today's journal. She did not promise any big announcement.

Both Christina and Sasha have the loveliest faces! I don't know who's prettier!
It breaks your heart. It is designed to break your heart. The game begins in the spring, when everything else begins again, and it blossoms in the summer, filling the afternoons and evenings, and then as soon as the chill rains come, it stops and leaves you to face the fall alone. They both have two totally different looks, so I don't even think you can compare who is prettier unless you go by personal taste. Sasha is very classic looking. I think Christina's beauty has more to do with her self confidence...if that makes any sense. I just wish she would get rid of the make up and hair color and grow her eyebrows.

Actually, God Bless America is what she skated to in COI this past year.
This makes me wonder if she will be at Nationals. I would have thought she would want to debut a new SP if she had one.
She could always use one of her old SP's though.

    Nitts,
When I looked at her programs for the 2006-07 season, it still lists DarkEyes as her short. I don't think she can use God Bless America as her short at Nats. Isn't it a vocal number? ANyway, even though it lists Dark Eyes as the SP, it still lists the LP to be announced. I wonder if this West Side Story LP is all instrumental or if it is vocal as well???
If it is instrumental, do you think then that she will use Dark Eyes again as SP and WSS as her LP at Nats, providing she goes?

Only Heaven could send us such an angelic skater.
