Well, I can't be accused for being too excited that COI is starting, but I am so I am starting the gun on this thread! So here I am starting the annual COI-all-in-one thread. My only one request when people post their reports and such is to post the name of the city and date in your subject, and if you have pictures, say something like say "Boise, Idaho Report and Pics" or "San Jose Show Report and Backstage Pics!" This is so people can search through the thread by subject looking for pictures, backstage stories easily, etc. since this thread does get very long by the time it's over.

It's funny how things have cut down with COI. Usually after an Olympics the schedule is overloaded. Things have definitely changed.

Before rehearsal began, I ducked into one of the recreational rinks at the arena and chatted with a 9-year-old beginning skater from south Fort Myers. She hit the ice less than a year ago and hopes one day to compete in the Olympics.

This gives me hope.....My little girl is 9yrs old and is just starting to take private lessons.....and she wants to be a skating star like Michelle

I went to the show today in Orlando, Florida...let me acknowledge one major thing. I believe Michelle has lost some of the weight she gained...that or she is just getting back in shape...first of all...her opening she basically wore a bikini top, with sexy shorts...great figure...thicker legs...don't know if its muscle or what...she then came out and did her number in a pretty blue dress...wonderful choregography...AND THE CHARLOTTE IS BACK...great COE spiral...the y spin looked very strong....she definitely has the potential to make a roaring come back. In the closing number Kwan looked extremely stunning in a white/sequin beautiful dress...it just went so well with her dark hair, and beautiful tan features. I'm interested to see how Michelle heals...and if/when she does..how she will attack retraining jumps...after going through such an ordeal...(no jumps on COI) off ice 6 weeks here, there, etc...I wonder if she will be extremely hesitant. Hopefully she will slowly start working them back in. My guess is when COI has a 4 day break she will see her physician and he will recommend that she can start jumping.
