Thumbsup OMG Michelle interview on Olympic Ice from 2/10

I was so bummed about all of the interviewers (naturally) talking about Sasha and even Irina continuing on to Vancouver. At the same time so much of the media is trying to say that Michelle is done.

Anyways I came across a beautiful Michelle interview from Olympic Ice's first episode (don't know if it's been discussed here before). She said her dad asked her how long she could stick around, how many Olympics she could be in. You know what she said, she said she counted up to 29 (years old)!

Also they showed little pieces of her practicing to Prelude and the choreography looks gorgeous. I have a feeling that Michelle wants to put this program out there and give it a chance. We shall see how things shake out when the dust of this season settles.

Michelle has obviously thought about competing in Vancouver because I've heard her mention the possibility before. I guess it all depends on how well she heals from her injury, future training (and avoiding future injury) and her competitive fire to keep going. My guess is she'll take it one year at a time like she's been doing.

she mentioned it a year or two ago...that even if she won gold in 2002 she would possibly sticka round for even 2010

I also feel that if she heals and has no future problems with the groin or hip she will stick around until 2010. I saw the piece on OI and I was like yes, Canada. But what about Speedy saying that if they want to go to some events they have to compete at these events thingy? Will Michelle go to some of the GP events? Maybe just SA & SC. If I count right and please correct me will she have to compete in 4 events a year to keep up, Nationals, SA, SC & Worlds, & would this just be to please Speedy. I don't know what I am talking about please someone who knows jump in so i can get a handle on this.

I really think that they LP performance that she developed for the Olympics, would have probably became one of her newest masterpieces if she was allowed to skate it. I am sure she probably thought about and practiced it numerous times while she was off the ice, only to not be able to it because she is injured.

It's has got to be tearing her up inside. Almost like a painter making a painting, and not being able to add the finishing touch to it.

She has hinted a few times that 29 isn't that old....give it to Michelle to want
to see if she can do it......curiousity is a big motivating factor for her it would seem.

Loved that interview....now if I can find that music
that they played in the background while Michelle skated.....
