I love long track speed skating too! I think that's probably my second favorite sport to watch. Watching the sliding events is also enjoyable, as is cross country skiing (which they never show on NBC).

I'm torn between which team to root for this year in hockey. Of course I want team USA to do well, but there are quite a few of my favorite Red Wings playing on team Sweden. Last time it was between Canada and USA, but I'm torn between Sweden and USA this time.

    This is tough!

After figure skating, I would have to go with snowboarding and speedskating! I like it all though!

I also got into watching Curling while at my daughter's ice rink where she is taking figure skating lessons. I watched this sport and to tell you the truth, it doesn't seem like it would be even REMOTELY hard to get onto this kind of team.

What, you take a stone that looks like a PHAT coffee pot and slide it down the ice...and you don't even need ice skates; as long as you can walk on ice in your tennis shoes, you're straight

And then two of your friends take really huge toilet bowl brushes and scrub the ice....REALLY HARD. Mmmmmmmmmkay, yeah, it's a hard sport

Along with figure skating of course, I really enjoy the alpine skiing, snowboard events, speed skating, and aerials. Aussie Alisa Camplin who won gold in SLC won bronze in the aerials last night!

    4. nordic combined (all three disciplines: sprint, large hill team, and individual gundersen; although i do have to admit that 'gundersen' sounds like something one'd nickname his package )
