A few weeks ago, on February 17, 2011, the documentary "RISE" was screened nationwide on theatre screens everywhere. It was supposed to be a one time event, but was so popular that a March 7th, 2011 screening was added.
RISE documents and honors the 1961 U.S. Figure Skating team whose lives were lost due to a tragic plane accident on their way to Prague for the 1961 World Championships. Michelle, along with other famous U.S. figure skaters such as Peggy Fleming, Dorothy Hamill, Kristi Yamaguchi, Brian Boitano were on the red carpet on February 17 to celebrate the release of the documentary and several of our members were lucky to be in attendance at the New York City screening.

Here is an excerpt of Michelle talking about Maribel Vinson, who coached Frank Carroll:
After the screening in New York City, there was an interview segment that included Michelle, Brian Boitano, Peggy Fleming, Scott Hamilton, and many other skaters in a session by Matt Lauer. One can view the pictures from the event here: RISE: Multimedia
