    Default Heather's TV Schedule

Thanks so much for the update Heather. I just checked it out. It's so wonderful to see that NBC is showing Grand Prix events this year.

Heather's TV Schedule 4 out of 6 ain't bad... I wonder if they are waiting to see if a US lady makes the GPF before deciding to show or not.

ETA: say what you want about Cohen, but I think these additions have her name all over them. JMHO.

I'm glad that NBC will be showing figure skating -- for the rest of you. Since the switch to digital, I've not been able to get a minute of transmission from the local NBC affiliate. Oh well, I have a friend who records for me, so I'll see the skating eventually.

WRT to Heather's schedule -- I'm not sure what the dates for 2010 Nationals are, but can the pairs finals really be a week before the ladies?!? All the events are marked LIVE on the schedule, but unless they have spread out the event to more than a week, that just isn't possible.

    Yes.

NBC convinced USFS to split nats in two so that they could have it broadcast live over two weekends. USFS actually found a host for the event. Amazing.

is more like it. The website says that it was adjusted to allow enough training time before the Olympics ... maybe. So if folks want to see both the men/pairs and the dance/ladies, then they either get to stay in Spokane for 10 days -- or else spend $$$ on two plane tickets. Should be interesting seeing how large the audience is for the first weekend.

Cities with NBA teams and/or hockey teams will likely not be able to host Nats in this format as they won't have venue time open in a block that long. Amazing that anyone would/could really go along with this.

They're doing it only for the Olympic season and I don't see them ever doing it again. It was a bad idea from the get go and I'm thoroughly surprised it went through for Spokane.

Does anyone know what the Salute to American Skating show is, that is on Dec 20th. Its not listed on the Disson website, and was just curious if anyone knew.

    Thanks!

I actually found this out by searching for figure skating on my cable menu and seeing TEB... I was sooo excited! I am even happier to see other events are being shown too!!!

Does this mean the GP's will not be on Universal Sports then?

GPs will be on NBC and Universal Sports this year. HisWeirness was kind enough to post Universal Sports' skating schedule on fsu:

Hmm. I thought it was only going to be on NBC Universal... I didn't think there would be any regular "free" network broadcast coverage other than bits of the couple of US hosted events.
